Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing OpenLinker and Lightspeed.

What makes your product unique?

OpenLinker's answer

Most e-commerce integration tools charge per order. OpenLinker doesn't. It runs on your own server โ€” your order data, customer records and integration config stay on your infrastructure, not ours. The code is open-source under Apache 2.0, so you can read it, modify it and build on it without asking anyone's permission.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

OpenLinker's answer

You pay for your server, not per order โ€” costs stay flat as sales grow. Your data never leaves your infrastructure. Apache 2.0 - no licence keys, no commercial restrictions, no vendor lock-in. One instance connects WooCommerce or PrestaShop with Allegro, ERLI, couriers and invoicing. You own the code. You own the data. That's it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

OpenLinker's answer

Merchants selling on Allegro or ERLI alongside their own WooCommerce or PrestaShop store - who are tired of paying per order and want their data on their own server. Also developers and agencies building e-commerce infrastructure for clients who need full control.

What's the story behind your product?

OpenLinker's answer

Every integration tool we looked at had the same model: the more you sell, the more you pay. Moreover, your data sits on their servers the whole time. We thought that was wrong. So we built an alternative - open-source, self-hosted, no per-order fee. Your store, your data, your infrastructure.
