Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Open Success Convert and CodeinCloud.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Open Success Convert's answer

Because it actually finishes the job — and proves it. Where many converters stall on scanned or messy statements and hand back results you have to trust blindly, Open Success Convert reliably handles the hard files and automatically checks every transaction against your statement, flagging anything that doesn't reconcile. You get accurate output and a clear signal about what was verified, instead of hoping the numbers are right.

What makes your product unique?

Open Success Convert's answer

Most bank statement converters promise "instant, 100% accurate" and then stall or garble anything but a clean PDF. Open Success Convert takes the opposite approach: it reliably handles the hard cases — poor-quality scans, image files, multi-account and multi-statement files, and even handwritten notes — and, crucially, it verifies its own work. Every extraction is automatically checked against the statement, and any transaction that doesn't reconcile is flagged and pointed out to you for review. You get a clear signal — verified, review-recommended, or ready — rather than a black-box result you have to trust blindly. It's the converter that tells you the truth about what it extracted, which is exactly what accountants and bookkeepers processing statements at volume actually need.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Open Success Convert's answer

Accountants, bookkeepers, and accounting firms who process bank statements in volume and need the numbers to be accurate and verifiable. It also serves small-business owners and finance teams who need to turn PDF or scanned statements into clean, accounting-ready spreadsheets.

What's the story behind your product?

Open Success Convert's answer

Open Success Convert started with a friend who runs an accounting firm. He knew I'd spent years working in document processing, and he asked a simple question: in the age of AI, could I build something to take the pain out of the manual work his team did every day? He showed me a stack of real bank statements — messy scans, awkward layouts, handwritten notes — the kind most tools can't handle. So I built an app for his firm to test on their actual workload.

They've since processed over 3,000 statements with very high accuracy. Seeing how much time it saved them, it became clear this could help a lot more people than one firm — so I turned it into Open Success Convert.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Open Success Convert's answer

  • Python / Django — backend framework

  • PostgreSQL — database

  • Redis — task queue broker (Django-Q for async processing)

  • Docker / Docker Compose — containerized deployment

  • Caddy — reverse proxy / TLS

  • Google Cloud — Vertex AI for extraction, Cloud Storage for files short-time storage

  • JavaScript — front-end (no framework; vanilla JS)
