Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Opalstack 5 features
Velvr.app 8 features
  • Developer-Friendly Hosting
Opalstack is designed with developers in mind, offering SSH access, Git integration, and support for multiple programming languages and frameworks including Python, Node.js, Ruby, and PHP, giving developers granular control over their hosting environment.
  • Affordable Pricing
Opalstack offers competitive pricing for shared and managed hosting plans, making it an accessible option for small businesses, freelancers, and individual developers who need robust features without enterprise-level costs.
  • Modern Control Panel
Opalstack provides a clean, modern, and intuitive web-based dashboard for managing sites, applications, databases, and email accounts, which is a significant improvement over older-style hosting control panels like cPanel.
  • Strong Support for Multiple Applications
The platform supports a wide variety of application types including WordPress, Django, Flask, Express, static sites, and more, allowing users to host diverse projects on a single account with easy deployment.
  • Reliable Infrastructure and Support
Opalstack is built by former WebFaction team members, bringing experienced hosting expertise. They offer responsive customer support and a reputation for stable, well-managed server infrastructure with good uptime.

Possible disadvantages

  • Smaller Community and Ecosystem
Compared to major hosting providers like DigitalOcean, AWS, or even shared hosts like SiteGround, Opalstack has a smaller user base, which means fewer community tutorials, third-party guides, and forum discussions available for troubleshooting.
  • Limited Scalability Options
Opalstack is primarily a shared hosting provider, which means it may not be the best choice for high-traffic applications or projects that require rapid, on-demand scaling of resources like CPU, RAM, or storage.
  • Not Ideal for Beginners
While developer-friendly, Opalstack's approach can be intimidating for non-technical users. Setting up applications often requires familiarity with the command line and server configuration, which may not suit those looking for simple one-click solutions.
  • Limited Data Center Locations
Opalstack offers a relatively small number of data center locations compared to major cloud providers, which may result in higher latency for users targeting audiences in regions not well-served by the available server locations.
  • Fewer Managed Services and Add-ons
Unlike larger hosting platforms, Opalstack lacks a wide range of managed add-on services such as built-in CDN integration, managed backups with granular restore options, or one-click SSL management that more mainstream providers offer out of the box.
  • AI Auto-Reply
Replies to every fan message automatically in your persona's voice — 9 archetypes plus a tone slider
  • Transparent 5-Phase Funnel
Every fan tracked P1–P5; the inbox shows each fan's phase and what the engine will and won't offer next
  • Mechanical Compliance
6 deterministic server-side validators on every reply, incl. EU AI Act Art. 50 disclosure and hard limits the AI can't override
  • Adaptive PPV Upselling
Offers paid content only when a fan's message signals interest — never on a timer, never to everyone at once
  • Multi-Persona, One Account
Run multiple personas in one account with strict data isolation between them
  • 14-Language Translator Mode
Deterministic language switch via a numbered menu, not fragile auto-detection
  • Native Fanvue Billing
Subscriptions through the official Fanvue App Store, hard-capped usage — no surprise overages
  • Privacy-First
Does not train AI models on customer data

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Opalstack and Velvr.app.

What makes your product unique?

Velvr.app's answer:

Velvr is the only Fanvue tool where compliance is mechanical, not prompt-based: every AI reply passes six deterministic server-side validators before it's sent — including a mandatory EU AI Act Article 50 disclosure on the first reply and hard limits the AI cannot override. It pairs that with a transparent 5-phase fan funnel you can inspect per fan, and true multi-persona isolation within a single account.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Velvr.app's answer:

Most Fanvue AI tools rely on prompts and probabilistic judging. Velvr guarantees output compliance with deterministic, audit-logged validators, shows the engine's decision state transparently for every fan (no black box), and is Fanvue-native by design — every engineering hour goes into Fanvue depth, not platform breadth. Pricing is flat with hard usage caps and no revenue share.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Velvr.app's answer:

Fanvue creators and the operators and agencies who run them — from solo creators to multi-persona operators managing several personas from one account.

What's the story behind your product?

Velvr.app's answer:

Velvr grew out of running a live AI-chat operation on Fanvue. Several rounds of prompt-hardening proved that prompts alone can't keep an AI reliably compliant, so we rebuilt the system around mechanical, server-side validators. That became Velvr's core idea: an adaptive engine with a transparent funnel and compliance guaranteed in code, not left to creator discipline.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Velvr.app's answer:

Built on Next.js and TypeScript with a PostgreSQL backend, cloud-hosted, with durable background workflows. AI replies run on large-language-model APIs, always behind Velvr's deterministic server-side validators.
