  • Reliable Infrastructure and Support

Possible disadvantages

  • Smaller Community and Ecosystem
Compared to major hosting providers like DigitalOcean, AWS, or even shared hosts like SiteGround, Opalstack has a smaller user base, which means fewer community tutorials, third-party guides, and forum discussions available for troubleshooting.
  • Limited Scalability Options
Opalstack is primarily a shared hosting provider, which means it may not be the best choice for high-traffic applications or projects that require rapid, on-demand scaling of resources like CPU, RAM, or storage.
  • Not Ideal for Beginners
While developer-friendly, Opalstack's approach can be intimidating for non-technical users. Setting up applications often requires familiarity with the command line and server configuration, which may not suit those looking for simple one-click solutions.
  • Limited Data Center Locations
Opalstack offers a relatively small number of data center locations compared to major cloud providers, which may result in higher latency for users targeting audiences in regions not well-served by the available server locations.
  • Fewer Managed Services and Add-ons
Unlike larger hosting platforms, Opalstack lacks a wide range of managed add-on services such as built-in CDN integration, managed backups with granular restore options, or one-click SSL management that more mainstream providers offer out of the box.
  • Marketplaces and Platforms

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Opalstack and Relistly.io.

What makes your product unique?

Relistly.io's answer:

Relistly is the only mainstream crosslister built Europe-first. It's the one tool that posts a single listing across the local EU classifieds — Marktplaats, Leboncoin, Kleinanzeigen, 2dehands and Vendora — alongside Vinted, Vestiaire Collective and Grailed, for 18 marketplaces in total, with auto-delisting, euro pricing and listing translation across 19 languages. Most crosslisters are US-first and skip the European marketplaces where our sellers actually list.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Relistly.io's answer:

For a European reseller, Relistly reaches marketplaces the others can't — the local EU classifieds plus Vinted, Vestiaire and Grailed — priced in euros from €14/mo. Unlike Crosslist it accepts EU-resident sellers; unlike Vendoo it still crosslists to Vinted. It works through a browser extension using your own logged-in marketplace sessions (never your passwords), and auto-delists sold items so you never double-sell.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Relistly.io's answer:

European online resellers — from side-hustle sellers to high-volume power sellers — who list fashion and second-hand goods across Vinted, Vestiaire, Depop, Grailed, eBay and the local EU classifieds and need one workflow to manage them all. Built for sellers in 24 European countries.

What's the story behind your product?

Relistly.io's answer:

Relistly was built by a European reseller frustrated that every crosslisting tool was US-first — none reached Vinted, Vestiaire or the local EU classifieds where Europeans actually sell. So we built it Europe-first: list once, post across 18 marketplaces, in euros, with auto-delisting so nothing sells twice.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Relistly.io's answer:

A Node.js/Express application with a PostgreSQL database, hosted in the EU. Crosslisting runs through the "Relistly Bridge" — a Manifest V3 browser extension that posts through the seller's own logged-in marketplace sessions — using official marketplace APIs where available (eBay, Etsy, Shopify) and session-based automation for the rest.
