Opalstack 5 features
aiDoks.eu 7 features

  • Affordable Pricing
Opalstack offers competitive pricing for shared and managed hosting plans, making it an accessible option for small businesses, freelancers, and individual developers who need robust features without enterprise-level costs.
  • Modern Control Panel
Opalstack provides a clean, modern, and intuitive web-based dashboard for managing sites, applications, databases, and email accounts, which is a significant improvement over older-style hosting control panels like cPanel.
  • Strong Support for Multiple Applications
The platform supports a wide variety of application types including WordPress, Django, Flask, Express, static sites, and more, allowing users to host diverse projects on a single account with easy deployment.
  • Reliable Infrastructure and Support
Opalstack is built by former WebFaction team members, bringing experienced hosting expertise. They offer responsive customer support and a reputation for stable, well-managed server infrastructure with good uptime.

Possible disadvantages

  • Smaller Community and Ecosystem
Compared to major hosting providers like DigitalOcean, AWS, or even shared hosts like SiteGround, Opalstack has a smaller user base, which means fewer community tutorials, third-party guides, and forum discussions available for troubleshooting.
  • Limited Scalability Options
Opalstack is primarily a shared hosting provider, which means it may not be the best choice for high-traffic applications or projects that require rapid, on-demand scaling of resources like CPU, RAM, or storage.
  • Not Ideal for Beginners
While developer-friendly, Opalstack's approach can be intimidating for non-technical users. Setting up applications often requires familiarity with the command line and server configuration, which may not suit those looking for simple one-click solutions.
  • Limited Data Center Locations
Opalstack offers a relatively small number of data center locations compared to major cloud providers, which may result in higher latency for users targeting audiences in regions not well-served by the available server locations.
  • Fewer Managed Services and Add-ons
Unlike larger hosting platforms, Opalstack lacks a wide range of managed add-on services such as built-in CDN integration, managed backups with granular restore options, or one-click SSL management that more mainstream providers offer out of the box.
  • E-Invoice Generator
Create compliant e-invoices in PEPPOL BIS 3.0, XRechnung (UBL & CII), Factur-X/ZUGFeRD PDF, Spanish Facturae and Estonian e-arve — free, no signup for the first use.
  • PDF to E-Invoice (AI Extraction)
Upload any PDF invoice and AI extraction fills the e-invoice fields for you — convert PDF to ZUGFeRD, XRechnung or PEPPOL in seconds.
  • E-Invoice Validator
Validate any EN 16931 invoice against the official schematron rule sets used by KoSIT, PEPPOL and national authorities.
  • Country CIUS Rules
Country-specific validation for Germany, France, Romania, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain — including French BR-FR rules applied to any invoice with a French seller.
  • Format Converter
    Convert between e-invoice formats: PDF → e-invoice, CII ↔ UBL, Facturae → UBL, e-arve → UBL.
  • Free Tier, No Signup
Every tool is free for occasional use (1 use per tool/day) with watermark-free XML output — no account required.
  • Multilingual Interface
Available in English, German, French, Spanish, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.

Opalstack
aiDoks.eu

Overall verdict

  • Opalstack is a solid choice for developers and tech-savvy users seeking an affordable, flexible control panel hosting solution with good performance and transparent pricing, though it may require more technical know-how than mainstream cPanel hosts.

Why this product is good

  • Uses a custom lightweight control panel that's fast and efficient compared to resource-heavy alternatives like cPanel
  • Offers straightforward, transparent pricing without hidden fees or aggressive upselling
  • Provides SSD storage and solid server performance for the price point
  • Supports multiple app types including Python, Node.js, and various frameworks beyond typical PHP hosting
  • Founded by the original creators of WebFaction, bringing significant hosting industry experience
  • Good for running multiple websites/apps under one account with granular resource control
  • Responsive customer support with a knowledgeable team
  • No long-term contracts required, allowing flexibility

Recommended for

  • Developers who need support for Python, Node.js, or other non-PHP applications
  • Users comfortable with a more technical, non-cPanel control panel interface
  • Small businesses or freelancers hosting multiple websites who want granular control
  • Former WebFaction users looking for a similar service after its shutdown
  • Budget-conscious users who want VPS-like flexibility without full server management
  • Users who prioritize transparent pricing over bundled marketing extras

Overall verdict

  • aiDoks.eu appears to be a niche AI-powered document processing/generation tool, but there is limited independent, verifiable information available about its performance, reliability, and company background, so it should be evaluated cautiously through a personal trial before committing to paid plans.

Why this product is good

  • Offers AI-assisted document handling which can save time on repetitive drafting or processing tasks
  • Likely provides a simple, accessible interface for users without technical expertise
  • May offer competitive pricing compared to larger, more established document automation platforms
  • Could support multiple languages, which is useful for European users given the .eu domain

Recommended for

  • Freelancers or small business owners looking for a lightweight document automation tool
  • Users seeking an affordable alternative to major AI document platforms
  • European users who prefer a service potentially tailored to EU language or compliance needs
  • Individuals wanting to test AI document tools before scaling to enterprise-level solutions

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Opalstack and aiDoks.eu.

What makes your product unique?

aiDoks.eu's answer:

aiDoks covers the whole EU e-invoicing workflow — generate, validate, and convert — in one free web tool, across formats that usually require separate tools: PEPPOL BIS 3.0, XRechnung (UBL & CII), Factur-X/ZUGFeRD, Spanish Facturae and Estonian e-arve. Validation runs the official schematron rule sets used by KoSIT, PEPPOL and national authorities, including country CIUS rules for Germany, France, Romania, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. And you can upload an existing PDF invoice and let AI extraction fill the e-invoice for you.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

aiDoks.eu's answer:

Most free alternatives do one thing: a validator here, a ZUGFeRD library there — and many require signup, watermark the output, or assume developer skills. aiDoks is built for non-technical users: no signup for the first use, watermark-free XML, plain-language validation errors with rule IDs, and format conversion (PDF → e-invoice, CII ↔ UBL, Facturae → UBL, e-arve → UBL) that standalone validators don't offer. Pro is $4.85/month for unlimited use — a fraction of typical e-invoicing platform pricing.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

aiDoks.eu's answer:

Small businesses, freelancers and accountants in Europe who need to send or check compliant e-invoices without an ERP system — especially in Germany, France, Belgium, Spain and Estonia, where e-invoicing mandates are already in force or arriving (France's B2B mandate starts 1 September 2026). Also useful for developers and consultants who need a quick validator against the official rule sets.

What's the story behind your product?

aiDoks.eu's answer:

Europe's e-invoicing mandates are rolling out country by country, but the tooling was built for large enterprises — small businesses were left choosing between expensive platforms and raw XML. aiDoks started as a simple free validator and grew into a full toolset: generators, validators and converters for every major European format, with AI-powered PDF extraction so nobody has to type an invoice twice. It's built in Latvia and available in seven European languages.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

aiDoks.eu's answer:

Java 21 with Spring Boot on the backend, Angular on the frontend, PostgreSQL for storage. Validation uses ph-schematron with the official EN 16931, PEPPOL, KoSIT and national CIUS rule sets. PDF invoice extraction is powered by Azure AI Document Intelligence.
