Ome.tv is recommended for adults who are comfortable engaging in random video chats and wish to connect with people globally. It is also suitable for those looking for a straightforward and easy-to-use platform for casual conversations. However, it may not be ideal for individuals seeking more secure or private interactions, or for younger audiences without proper supervision.
Parse-Server is recommended for startups, small to medium enterprises, and individual developers seeking a cost-effective backend solution with full control over their infrastructure. It's also ideal for projects that require rapid prototyping and deployment, app developers who need pre-built SDKs, and teams looking to migrate away from Parse's legacy hosted services.

I've tried so many things to get a virtual camera working on ome.tv, but nothing works, it just has the constant loading circle and nothing happens when I press go. Monkey is the only place that works but 97% of the people I come across are just jerking their dicks, I'm just looking to find people to thug unexpectedly. Source: over 2 years ago
After omegle shutdown several weeks ago, I have been missing the experience of not only connecting with random strangers, but those whose interest match my own with the help of the interest tag system. This feature is missing in any Omegle clone, such as ome.tv or omegle.vc. I truely miss this feature as it has lead to most friends I have made on the platform. Connecting with a random stranger has a chance of... Source: over 2 years ago
Third minichat if you put it on safe mode on the app in the iphone it acts like a "cock block" for one and two it shows you the account name attached to the person your talking to aka there facebook name/ their name. This would A getting names easy. But B some people know about this on ome.tv so you may not get the same shock value as you got from knowing names on omegle. Source: over 2 years ago

I've been learning Japanese and want to talk to some Japanese people on ome.tv or something like that, but I wonder would they judge me if they knew I WFH with a 4 day work week? Or would they think it's cool? Probably depends on the person I guess. Source: about 3 years ago
If youโre coming from the Parse ecosystem, it may help to know that Parse itself is a long-running open source backend framework. You can start from the official Parse Platform site, or go deeper with the communityโs Parse Server repository. Our own developer docs are organized around that reality. If you want implementation-level guides, start with our SashiDo Documentation. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago

There's numerous standard backends which frontenders could use in simplistic cases to start, say https://github.com/PostgREST/postgrest or https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server. Source: over 4 years ago

I am curious what backend framework you would choose to run with for prototyping an application with run of the mill user management requirements. That is functionality along the lines of: session management, password policies, password reset, user verifications, etc. Sadly it seems there really aren't any frameworks that have user management natively supported. The only one I am aware of is [Parse... - Source: Hacker News / about 5 years ago
