What's the story behind your product?

Paid acquisition kept getting more expensive while merchants ignored organic traffic, because SEO and content were too time consuming to do well. We noticed that store owners already own the most important inputs: their product photos, their catalog and their Search Console history. Obsess AI started as an SEO agent that wrote from the catalog, and grew into a creative platform that also shoots the photography and video, so a store can produce everything it needs to grow from what it already has, without a studio, an agency or a content team.

What makes your product unique?

Obsess AI is an AI content and creative platform built only for Shopify. Most tools do one thing: a writer, a photo tool, a video generator. Obsess AI does the whole set from one place, and everything is grounded in what the store already owns. Photography is reconstructed from the merchant's real product images rather than invented, copy is written from the catalog and brand voice, and keyword targets come from the store's own Search Console history rather than a generic database. Nothing publishes without the merchant's approval, every run shows its credit price before it starts, and fixes are reversible.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Generic AI writers need prompting and know nothing about the store. Photo and video tools make the merchant export assets, source presenters and bring the results back by hand. Obsess AI installs from the Shopify App Store, reads the catalog on day one, and produces studio photography, virtual try-on imagery, UGC-style presenter video, ad creatives, SEO blogs, collection pages, product copy and social posts from that catalog, then publishes them to the store. Search work runs from the merchant's own Search Console data, with an issues queue that names conflicts and fixes them in one click, reversibly. Plans start at $9 a month and every plan opens with a 7-day free trial.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Shopify merchants who need an in-house content team but don't have one: direct-to-consumer brands, multi-product catalogs, seasonal stores and Shopify Plus merchants. It works for any category, from apparel and homeware to coffee gear and outdoor equipment, because the studio reconstructs from the store's real product images and the copy is written from its own catalog. Agencies managing several Shopify stores use it too.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

The app is built with React, Remix and Shopify Polaris, so it runs natively inside the Shopify admin. The backend is Python with Celery workers on AWS. Text generation routes through a model registry that includes OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude models, and merchants can choose which copywriter to use, shop-wide or per feature. Photography and video use several specialist image and video models, chosen per shot for quality. Product search uses Pinecone vector embeddings, and Google Search Console connects read-only for keyword data.
