Most Slack attendance bots (like AttendanceBot) are broad workforce-management platforms with PTO policies, scheduling, and payroll integrations built in. Teams that don't need that — particularly contractor or freelance teams with no PTO or payroll to track in the first place — end up paying for and configuring modules they'll never use. SlashClock skips all of that: one flat price per active member, and nothing to set up beyond adding the bot.

Small teams that already work in Slack, especially teams built from contractors or freelancers rather than full-time employees — a video editing crew, an indie game dev team, a podcast production crew, or the small group of paid contributors keeping an open-source project running.
