Get Finny App's answer:
Finny is the only consumer expense tracker that lets you log an Apple Pay purchase by tapping the Wallet notification, no typing required. Pair that with batch receipt scanning, voice input, and statement import, and most users never fill out a form again. All of this runs without bank linking, without a forced signup, and with 150+ currencies built in.
Get Finny App's answer:
Three reasons most users name: 1. Speed. Logging an Apple Pay transaction takes one tap. Competitors require bank linking (slow, fragile) or manual entry. 2. Privacy. No bank credentials, no mandatory account, local-first storage. Sync is optional via Sign in with Apple. 3. Price. Finny Pro is $1.99/month or $17.99/year. Some other apps are $95 to $109 per year.
Bonus: 150+ currencies with live FX is a first-class feature, not an afterthought, which matters for travelers and freelancers paid across borders.

iPhone users who want a fast, private way to track personal spending. The strongest fits are: - Frequent travelers and digital nomads juggling multiple currencies - Freelancers and contractors tracking expenses across clients - Privacy-conscious users who refuse to link bank accounts - People migrating from Mint (shut down), or downsizing from Monarch, YNAB, or Copilot to a leaner, cheaper option

I travel a lot, and every month I spend across several currencies. Every expense app I tried either forced me to fill out a form for every coffee, buried the multi currency view behind a paywall, or both. I’m also lazy. The friction of opening an app, tapping through fields, picking a category, and confirming the date was enough for me to stop logging things altogether.
So I built Finny for myself first. The rules were simple: log a transaction in one tap or one sentence, see everything unified in my home currency, and never make me link a bank account. The AI input came directly from that "I don’t want to fill forms" instinct. Tap to Track came from realizing my phone already knew when I paid.
Turns out a lot of other people wanted the same thing too.
