Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Objects 5 features
directree 10 features
  • Decentralized Object Storage
Objects.to provides decentralized storage solutions, allowing users to store data across distributed networks rather than relying on a single centralized server, which enhances data resilience and reduces single points of failure.
  • Web3 and Blockchain Integration
The platform is designed with Web3 principles in mind, making it well-suited for developers building decentralized applications (dApps) that need reliable and censorship-resistant storage.
  • Simple API and Developer Experience
Objects.to offers a straightforward API that makes it relatively easy for developers to integrate decentralized storage into their projects without needing deep expertise in the underlying protocols.
  • Content Persistence
Data stored through Objects.to benefits from content-addressable storage mechanisms, helping ensure that files remain available and verifiable over time without risk of link rot or unauthorized modification.
  • Cost-Effective Storage
Compared to traditional cloud storage providers, Objects.to can offer competitive pricing by leveraging decentralized storage networks, potentially reducing costs for developers and businesses storing large amounts of data.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Mainstream Adoption
Objects.to is a relatively niche platform compared to established cloud storage providers like AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage, which means fewer community resources, tutorials, and third-party integrations are available.
  • Performance and Latency Concerns
Decentralized storage can sometimes suffer from higher latency and slower retrieval speeds compared to centralized cloud services that have globally distributed CDNs and optimized infrastructure.
  • Reliability and Uptime Uncertainty
As a smaller and newer platform, Objects.to may not offer the same level of guaranteed uptime and SLAs that enterprise-grade centralized storage providers commit to.
  • Learning Curve for Non-Web3 Developers
Developers unfamiliar with decentralized storage concepts, content addressing, and Web3 paradigms may face a steeper learning curve when adopting Objects.to compared to traditional storage solutions.
  • Limited Documentation and Support
Being a smaller platform, Objects.to may have less comprehensive documentation, fewer support channels, and slower response times for troubleshooting compared to major cloud providers with dedicated support teams.
  • Paste-a-URL listing
Paste any product URL and get a full, structured listing in about 30 seconds - no forms to fill.
  • Provenance labels
Every field is labelled by how we know it - Verified fact, AI-inferred, or Founder-edited - so you always know the source.
  • Honest signals, no fake scores
Qualitative strengths and best-fit notes instead of invented numeric ratings we can't stand behind.
  • Founder claim & edit
Verify control of your domain to claim your listing, correct it, and manage how it appears.
  • Do-follow backlink
Claimed listings earn a real do-follow backlink badge - genuine SEO value, not nofollow.
  • Comparison pages
Side-by-side "X vs Y" pages to weigh two tools on the same structured facts.
  • Alternatives pages
"Alternatives to X" pages that surface similar tools for easy discovery.
  • Community upvotes & reviews
Transparent popularity signal from real member votes and comments - explicitly not an editorial score.
  • New & Top launch feeds
Launch-day visibility through New and Top feeds, plus a daily community showcase.
  • Built for AI discovery (GEO)
Real, structured, honestly-labelled listings designed to be cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Objects
directree

Overall verdict

  • Objects.to is a niche link-in-bio and personal landing page tool. It appears to offer a minimalist way to consolidate links, but it has limited brand recognition compared to major competitors like Linktree, Bio.link, or Beacons, and detailed independent reviews or long-term reliability data are scarce.

Why this product is good

  • Simple, minimalist interface for creating a single landing page
  • Likely free or low-cost tier for basic use cases
  • Quick setup for consolidating multiple links in one place
  • Lightweight alternative if you dislike bloated link-in-bio tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals wanting a very basic, no-frills link page
  • Users experimenting with alternatives to mainstream link-in-bio services
  • Small creators who don't need advanced analytics or customization
  • Those prioritizing simplicity over extensive design options

Overall verdict

  • Directree.io appears to be a niche link-in-bio / directory-style landing page tool, but there is limited independent, verifiable information available about it, so it's hard to fully vouch for its reliability, security, and long-term support.

Why this product is good

  • Simple concept for creating a single link/directory page for social bios
  • Likely low-cost or free entry tier, appealing for basic use cases
  • May offer quick setup with minimal technical skill required

Recommended for

  • Individuals wanting a very basic link-in-bio page for social media profiles
  • Users testing lightweight directory tools before committing to established platforms like Linktree or Beacons
  • Not recommended for businesses needing robust analytics, support, or proven track record until more reviews and transparency are available

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Objects and directree.

What's the story behind your product?

directree's answer:

I run several software products and kept running into the same frustration: every time I tried to get one of them listed and discovered, I couldn't quite trust the directories I was using. It was hard to tell a verified fact from marketing copy, and new or niche products barely got seen. I also noticed the same problem as a buyer. So I built the directory I wanted to exist - one that's honest about what it knows and how it knows it. It's also built for the shift happening right now, where more and more people find software by asking AI rather than scrolling a list.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

directree's answer:

Next.js, Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage), Vercel (EU region), Stripe. SEO and GEO tooling built on DataForSEO, Google Search Console API, Google Indexing API, and IndexNow.

What makes your product unique?

directree's answer:

Every listing is upfront about how it knows what it claims. Verified facts look different from AI-inferred summaries, which look different again from something the real founder has come in and corrected. You always know which is which. There are no invented numeric scores - we use honest qualitative signals instead. And creating a listing isn't the same as owning it: anyone can submit a tool, but only someone who verifies control of the domain can edit it.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

directree's answer:

If you're a founder: you get a real, structured listing in about 30 seconds, a do-follow backlink when you claim it, and a directory where your listing can't be outranked by a competitor's ad spend. If you're a buyer: you get facts you can trace - not a black-box score. And because the listings are real and structured, they're also built to be cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, not just Google.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

directree's answer:

Two sides. Founders, indie hackers, and SaaS makers who want honest distribution and a do-follow backlink for their product. And buyers, developers, and marketers who are researching software and want listings they can actually trust - where every fact is clearly labelled by how we know it.
