Croqui Art

The web-based, multi-mentor alternative to ArtCoach. Croqui runs in any browser — desktop, iPhone, Android — and gives you a council of three AI mentors who critique the drawings you make. It does not generate art: you draw, the AI looks and teaches.

Objects 5 features
Croqui Art 5 features
  • Decentralized Object Storage
Objects.to provides decentralized storage solutions, allowing users to store data across distributed networks rather than relying on a single centralized server, which enhances data resilience and reduces single points of failure.
  • Web3 and Blockchain Integration
The platform is designed with Web3 principles in mind, making it well-suited for developers building decentralized applications (dApps) that need reliable and censorship-resistant storage.
  • Simple API and Developer Experience
Objects.to offers a straightforward API that makes it relatively easy for developers to integrate decentralized storage into their projects without needing deep expertise in the underlying protocols.
  • Content Persistence
Data stored through Objects.to benefits from content-addressable storage mechanisms, helping ensure that files remain available and verifiable over time without risk of link rot or unauthorized modification.
  • Cost-Effective Storage
Compared to traditional cloud storage providers, Objects.to can offer competitive pricing by leveraging decentralized storage networks, potentially reducing costs for developers and businesses storing large amounts of data.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Mainstream Adoption
Objects.to is a relatively niche platform compared to established cloud storage providers like AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage, which means fewer community resources, tutorials, and third-party integrations are available.
  • Performance and Latency Concerns
Decentralized storage can sometimes suffer from higher latency and slower retrieval speeds compared to centralized cloud services that have globally distributed CDNs and optimized infrastructure.
  • Reliability and Uptime Uncertainty
As a smaller and newer platform, Objects.to may not offer the same level of guaranteed uptime and SLAs that enterprise-grade centralized storage providers commit to.
  • Learning Curve for Non-Web3 Developers
Developers unfamiliar with decentralized storage concepts, content addressing, and Web3 paradigms may face a steeper learning curve when adopting Objects.to compared to traditional storage solutions.
  • Limited Documentation and Support
Being a smaller platform, Objects.to may have less comprehensive documentation, fewer support channels, and slower response times for troubleshooting compared to major cloud providers with dedicated support teams.
  • Free Access to Reference Images
Croqui Art appears to offer free access to pose references and figure drawing images, making it accessible for artists who want to practice without a subscription cost.
  • Useful for Figure Drawing Practice
The platform is designed specifically for croquis-style figure drawing practice, providing a focused tool for artists looking to improve their gesture and quick sketching skills.
  • Timed Drawing Sessions
Many croquis tools like this one typically offer customizable timer settings, allowing artists to practice under realistic time constraints similar to life drawing sessions.
  • Convenient Online Access
Being a web-based platform, it allows artists to practice from anywhere with an internet connection, without needing to install additional software.
  • Variety of Poses
Such platforms often provide a range of different poses and models, helping artists diversify their practice and avoid repetitive subject matter.

Analysis

Objects
Croqui Art

Overall verdict

  • Objects.to is a niche link-in-bio and personal landing page tool. It appears to offer a minimalist way to consolidate links, but it has limited brand recognition compared to major competitors like Linktree, Bio.link, or Beacons, and detailed independent reviews or long-term reliability data are scarce.

Why this product is good

  • Simple, minimalist interface for creating a single landing page
  • Likely free or low-cost tier for basic use cases
  • Quick setup for consolidating multiple links in one place
  • Lightweight alternative if you dislike bloated link-in-bio tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals wanting a very basic, no-frills link page
  • Users experimenting with alternatives to mainstream link-in-bio services
  • Small creators who don't need advanced analytics or customization
  • Those prioritizing simplicity over extensive design options

Overall verdict

  • Croqui.art appears to be a niche digital tool aimed at artists, offering croqui (quick figure sketch) references and possibly pose libraries for practice; it seems like a solid, focused resource for figure drawing practice, though it's a specialized tool rather than an all-purpose art platform.

Why this product is good

  • Provides curated pose references specifically for croqui/gesture drawing practice
  • Likely offers a timer or session-based practice mode useful for speed-sketching routines
  • Focused niche tool means less clutter compared to broader stock photo sites
  • Convenient for artists who need quick access to figure references without searching stock sites
  • May offer variety in poses, angles, and body types for diverse practice needs

Recommended for

  • Figure drawing students and hobbyists
  • Illustrators practicing gesture and anatomy sketches
  • Art students preparing for portfolio or life-drawing classes
  • Animators and character designers needing quick pose references
  • Anyone doing timed sketching exercises like 30-second or 1-minute croquis

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Objects and Croqui Art.

What makes your product unique?

Croqui Art's answer:

Croqui looks at the art you made — it does not make art for you. Most AI tools in this space are generators; Croqui is a critic and a coach.

  • A council, not a verdict. Three AI mentors with distinct personalities review the same drawing from different angles, so you get a conversation rather than one flat score.
  • It answers the drawing in front of it. Not a generic lesson — specific observations about your shadows, your proportions, your line weight.
  • It closes the loop. After the critique you get a next task aimed at the exact skill you're weakest at, and the next review checks whether it moved.
  • No tablet, no app store, no waiting. Photograph a pencil sketch with your phone and get feedback in moments, 24/7.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Croqui Art's answer:

Video platforms like Skillshare, Domestika, Udemy or Coursera teach you at scale — you watch a lesson, but nobody ever looks at what you actually drew. Croqui is the opposite: it starts from your drawing.

  • vs ArtCoach — ArtCoach is iOS-only; Croqui runs in any browser, on any device.
  • vs video courses — courses are one-way. Croqui responds to your specific work and adapts what you practice next.
  • vs generative AI — those tools produce images for you. Croqui never draws; it teaches you to.
  • vs a human tutor — a tutor is better, if you can afford one and wait for the slot. Croqui is instant, and free to start.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Croqui Art's answer:

Self-taught artists, students and serious hobbyists who draw regularly and have nobody to show their work to. People who are past "how do I hold a pencil" but stuck on a plateau — they practice, but without feedback they can't tell what is actually holding them back. Typically working with pencil, ink, watercolour or a digital app, learning outside of art school, and improving alone.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Croqui Art's answer:

  • Go microservices on Kubernetes
  • React + TypeScript frontend
  • PostgreSQL
  • Multi-model AI vision and language pipeline, with several providers behind one routing layer for reliability

What's the story behind your product?

Croqui Art's answer:

Croqui started from a simple frustration: improving at drawing alone is hard when no one ever sees what you make. Courses pile up, sketchbooks fill, and you still can't tell whether you're getting better or just repeating the same mistakes more confidently. Good feedback is the one thing that actually moves you — and it's the one thing locked behind access to a tutor or an art school.

Modern AI vision made a third path possible: a mentor that looks at your actual drawing, tells you what works and what doesn't, and gives you something specific to practice next. Not a generator that replaces the artist — a coach that helps the artist grow.
