Queue consumers are interesting because there are many solutions for them, from using Redis and persisting the data in a data store - but for fast and scalable the approach I would take is something like SQS (as I advocate AWS even free tier) or NSQ for managing your own distributed producers and consumers. I'm also still trying out Write! Which was recommended here on this sub a while ago. It has a cloud so I can open it from all my computers, but sadly not from mobile. But I only use mobile for jotting down notes, anyway, so I use Docs for that. What I like about Write!
