Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Notsshare 5 features
RepDB 4 features
  • Simple Secret Sharing
Notsshare provides a straightforward way to share sensitive information like passwords and secrets through one-time links, making it easy for users to securely transmit confidential data without technical expertise.
  • One-Time Access Links
Shared secrets are designed to be viewed only once, after which the link is destroyed. This reduces the risk of sensitive information being accessed by unauthorized parties after the intended recipient has viewed it.
  • No Account Required
Users can share secrets without needing to create an account or go through a registration process, lowering the barrier to entry and making it convenient for quick, ad-hoc secret sharing.
  • Web-Based Convenience
Being an online tool, Notsshare is accessible from any device with a web browser, eliminating the need to install additional software or applications to share sensitive information securely.
  • Free to Use
The service appears to be available at no cost, making it an accessible option for individuals and small teams who need a basic secret-sharing solution without financial commitment.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Brand Recognition and Trust
Notsshare is a relatively unknown platform compared to established alternatives like OneTimeSecret or PrivateBin. Users may have concerns about trusting a lesser-known service with their sensitive data.
  • Uncertain Security Practices
Without extensive public documentation or third-party security audits, it can be difficult for users to verify the encryption methods, data handling practices, and overall security architecture of the platform.
  • No Open Source Transparency
It is unclear whether the platform's code is open source, which limits the ability of security researchers and the community to verify that secrets are handled securely and that no backdoors exist.
  • Limited Features
Compared to more mature secret-sharing tools, Notsshare may lack advanced features such as expiration time customization, password protection on links, file sharing, or API access for integration with other tools.
  • Availability and Reliability Concerns
As a smaller, less established service, there may be concerns about long-term availability, uptime guarantees, and ongoing maintenance, which could be problematic if users rely on it for important secret sharing needs.
  • WebP Format Benefits

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Notsshare and RepDB.

What makes your product unique?

RepDB's answer:

RepDB is sold as a one-time download, not a metered API — you own the JSON/SQLite data and WebP images outright, with no rate limits, no per-request billing, and no risk of the vendor cutting off access. It's also the only dataset in this space with EN/DE/ES translations, transparent (alpha-channel) images with no watermark, muscle-group highlighting, safety/goal tags, and looping animations on the higher tier.

What's the story behind your product?

RepDB's answer:

RepDB grew out of a consumer workout app its creator was building solo. Sourcing exercise images and data meant either paying for a subscription API with usage caps and no caching rights, or producing everything from scratch. The illustrated, multi-language dataset was built for us first, then split out as its own product once it became clear other indie developers had the same problem and preferred to buy the data outright rather than rent it through an API.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

RepDB's answer:

Most alternatives are subscription APIs — you pay monthly, you're capped on requests, and ExerciseDB's terms of use explicitly forbid caching or storing the data at all, so every image render is a live paid API call. RepDB is the opposite: pay once, download the files, self-host with zero ongoing dependency. It's also the only option offering true DE/ES localization and transparent images instead of a white box behind every exercise.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

RepDB's answer:

Solo developers and small teams building fitness or workout-tracking apps (iOS, Android, web) who need licensed exercise images and structured exercise data, but don't want to build their own media pipeline or depend on a rate-limited third-party API.
