Free Code Camp might be a bit more popular than Nextdoor. We know about 576 links to it since March 2021 and only 559 links to Nextdoor. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Also post on https://nextdoor.com/ We had a rabbit in our yard (also South Salem) that was clearly a pet and my wife checked there and sure enough, the owners had posted, then came over and got it. Source: 6 months ago

Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something.
