CodeRunnerNext.js has become the de-facto standard for our frontend engineering team when building modern web applications. The Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG) are absolutely essential for our product's SEO strategy and fast indexing.
The transition to the App Router initially required a paradigm shift for our developers, but it ultimately made our architecture much more scalable. We love that the framework handles the heavy liftingโimage optimization, code splitting, and routingโallowing our team to focus purely on business logic. It provides a phenomenal Developer Experience that keeps our deployment cycles fast and predictable.
Based on our record, Next.js seems to be a lot more popular than CodeRunner. While we know about 1143 links to Next.js, we've tracked only 4 mentions of CodeRunner. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Blurring of the lines. React Server Components (RSC) and associated frameworks such as NextJS involve code executing on both server and client, while HTMX focuses on markup and emphasises use of full-stack/backend templating engines to generate code targetting the browser. Working with these new tools blurs the distinction between the front end and back end skill set. - Source: dev.to / about 7 hours ago
What replaced the laptop, before we get to the schema: Health Auto Export now posts straight to a Vercel function on a daily schedule, a scheduled job pulls lifting history from Liftosaur, and both land in TimescaleDB on Tiger Cloud. No files, no iCloud, no Mac. A Next.js app reads it and tells me whether I hit protein, which is a separate post. - Source: dev.to / 2 days ago

Yes, itโs built on the shoulders of giants, Next.js[0] and lesser-known Keystone.js[1]. Next is a full stack framework and Keystone is a CMS built on top of Prisma and GraphQL. Keystone was created by this Australian company called Thinkmill. They have used it to help businesses build custom backend systems for more than a decade. But it needed to be deployed separately from Next and they were using emotion css... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago

I'm going to presage this by saying that if what you want from an IDE is that you can open a tab, tap in some C++, add some breakpoints if necessary and hit run, and if you're willing to spend $20, then I highly recommend CodeRunner. You can also set it up to invoke whatever you want to invoke for building, allowing you to use it as a full project-management IDE, but I usually don't bother with that. But it's...
