MyWed features and specs

  • Community of Photographers
MyWed is a community-driven platform that connects professional photographers and allows them to share their work, tips, and experiences.
  • Portfolio Showcase
Photographers can create detailed portfolios to showcase their best work, enhancing visibility and potentially attracting clients.
  • Inspiration and Learning
The platform offers a wide range of wedding photography styles and ideas, serving as a source of inspiration and learning for photographers at all levels.
  • Contests and Awards
MyWed hosts various photography contests, providing opportunities for recognition and awards, which can boost a photographer's credibility and reputation.
  • Client Leads
By maintaining an active profile, photographers can receive inquiries from potential clients, thus serving as a lead generation tool.

Possible disadvantages of MyWed

  • Competitive Environment
Due to the high number of skilled photographers on MyWed, standing out can be challenging, especially for newcomers.
  • Premium Membership Costs
To access all features and maximize visibility, photographers might need to subscribe to a paid membership, which could be a financial consideration.
  • Limited Audience
While MyWed is well-known among photographers, its visibility among general consumers and potential clients is not as high as on some other platforms.
  • Niche Focus
The platform primarily focuses on wedding photography, which may not be ideal for photographers who wish to showcase a broader range of work.
  • Time-Consuming
To gain visibility and interact effectively, photographers need to invest a significant amount of time curating their profiles and engaging with the community.

@imqueue features and specs

  • TypeScript-first design
imqueue is built with TypeScript at its core, providing strong typing, better IDE support, and compile-time error checking, which helps catch bugs early and improves the developer experience when building microservices.
  • RPC-style messaging abstraction
It simplifies inter-service communication by abstracting away the complexities of message queue protocols, allowing developers to make calls that feel like local function calls while the underlying complexity of message passing is handled by the framework.
  • Built on RabbitMQ
By leveraging RabbitMQ as its message broker, imqueue benefits from a mature, battle-tested messaging system with reliable delivery guarantees, clustering support, and a large ecosystem of tools and documentation.
  • Code generation and tooling
imqueue provides CLI tools and code generation capabilities that can automatically create service clients and boilerplate code, reducing repetitive work and helping maintain consistency across microservices.
  • Microservices-focused architecture
The framework is specifically designed for building distributed microservices systems, offering features like service discovery and structured communication patterns that address common challenges in distributed system design.

Possible disadvantages of @imqueue

  • Smaller community and ecosystem
Compared to more mainstream microservices frameworks, imqueue has a relatively small user base and community, which can mean fewer third-party resources, tutorials, Stack Overflow answers, and community-contributed plugins or extensions.
  • Limited documentation depth
While basic documentation exists, some users report that advanced use cases, edge cases, and troubleshooting guides are not as thoroughly documented as more established frameworks, requiring more trial-and-error or direct code inspection.
  • RabbitMQ dependency lock-in
Being tightly coupled to RabbitMQ means teams must adopt and manage this specific message broker, which could be a limitation for organizations that prefer or already use alternative messaging systems like Kafka, NATS, or AWS SQS.
  • Learning curve for framework-specific patterns
Developers need to learn imqueue's specific conventions, decorators, and architectural patterns, which adds an additional learning curve on top of understanding TypeScript and general microservices concepts.
  • Potential scalability concerns for very large systems
As with many queue-based RPC frameworks, extremely high-throughput or very large-scale distributed systems may encounter performance bottlenecks or require significant additional configuration and tuning of the underlying RabbitMQ infrastructure.

MyWed Reviews

  1. I have been on Mywed for 11 years and have been photographing for 20 years and more. The Mywed administrator is a vengeful, biased man with a circle of people he collaborates with. He invents sanctions, if the photos are good or have potential he deletes them, de-points and blocks accounts frequently. This platform is beautiful from a photo point of view but from a point of view of arrogance and management it is a disaster. Everything is about clubs, circles and biases. Don't expect that if you are good as a photographer you will grow. Here on files and relationships. They made me delete my account so they could re-evaluate it because I gave likes to some colleagues and that's not how it's done. Well, me. From here they concluded that it was a deal. What can I tell you. This is how the platform is. Not on art and potential but on a circle of unknown people who advance and I suppose they pay for it. In conclusion, a mess.
