Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Modular JavaScript 5 features
Tennis Day 0 features
  • Improved Code Organization
Modular JavaScript allows developers to break down code into smaller, manageable modules. This enhances code readability and maintainability by organizing related functionality together.
  • Code Reusability
Modules encourage reusability by allowing the same piece of code to be used across different projects or multiple areas of the same application, reducing redundancy.
  • Scalability
As the application grows, managing code becomes easier with modular JavaScript. Each module can be developed, tested, and maintained independently, making the codebase more scalable.
  • Encapsulation
Modules provide encapsulation, preventing variables and functions from polluting the global namespace. This reduces the risk of naming conflicts and bugs.
  • Improved Testing
With code organized into discrete modules, writing unit tests becomes more straightforward. Each module can be tested individually, leading to more reliable and maintainable tests.

Possible disadvantages

  • Increased Complexity
Introducing modularity can add complexity to the build process, as it often requires module loaders or bundlers (like Webpack or Browserify) to manage dependencies.
  • Overhead
For smaller projects, using a modular approach might be overkill, introducing unnecessary overhead in terms of setup, configuration, and code management.
  • Learning Curve
Developers unfamiliar with modular JavaScript may face a learning curve, especially when dealing with module patterns, loaders, and bundlers.
  • Dependency Management
Relying on multiple modules can lead to complex dependency chains, making it challenging to track and resolve dependencies across different modules.
  • Performance Overhead
Modular JavaScript can introduce performance overhead if not managed properly, such as loading many small modules individually, leading to increased HTTP requests.

Modular JavaScript
Tennis Day

Overall verdict

  • Modular JavaScript (mjavascript.com) is a solid resource for developers looking to learn best practices around modular design patterns in JavaScript, though its value depends on your current skill level and how current the content remains given the fast pace of JS ecosystem changes.

Why this product is good

  • Focuses specifically on modularity, a critical but often overlooked aspect of scalable JavaScript development
  • Covers practical patterns for organizing code, managing dependencies, and structuring larger applications
  • Can help bridge the gap between basic JavaScript knowledge and professional-grade architecture skills
  • Often includes real-world examples rather than purely theoretical concepts
  • Useful for understanding module systems like CommonJS, ES Modules, and build tool configurations

Recommended for

  • Intermediate JavaScript developers wanting to level up their code organization skills
  • Developers transitioning from simple scripts to larger, maintainable applications
  • Teams looking to establish consistent modular coding standards
  • Self-taught programmers seeking structured guidance on architecture
  • Backend or frontend developers working with Node.js or modern JS frameworks who need better module management practices

Overall verdict

  • Tennis Day (tennis-calendar.com) appears to be a niche tool designed for tennis enthusiasts who want a consolidated view of tournament schedules, match dates, and event calendars, and it seems to serve that purpose reasonably well, though its value depends heavily on how current and comprehensive its data is compared to official ATP/WTA sources.

Why this product is good

  • Provides a centralized calendar for tracking tennis tournaments and matches
  • Simple, focused interface for fans who just want schedule information without navigating multiple sites
  • Potentially useful for planning viewing schedules around major tennis events
  • Niche focus means less clutter compared to broader sports news sites

Recommended for

  • Casual tennis fans wanting a quick overview of upcoming matches
  • People who follow multiple tournaments and want a single reference calendar
  • Fans who prefer a simple, dedicated tool over official tour websites
  • Users looking for a supplementary resource alongside official ATP/WTA calendars

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Modular JavaScript and Tennis Day.

What makes your product unique?

Tennis Day's answer:

Instead of listing scores like a sports app, it turns the tennis season into a daily visual ritual: 365 designed poster wallpapers — one for every day of the 2026 season — each with an original line about the game, plus month-by-month schedules and hubs for Wimbledon and the US Open. It pairs a website with an iOS widget app, so the day's poster lives on your home screen.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Tennis Day's answer:

Score apps tell you what happened; this tells you where you are in the season and looks good doing it. Every poster is an original design (no stock photos, no AI-generated player faces), the full July collection is free to try, and the rest of the season is a one-time unlock — no subscription.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Tennis Day's answer:

Tennis fans who follow the season emotionally rather than statistically — people who love the tenniscore aesthetic, set tennis wallpapers on their phones, and want the Grand Slam calendar woven into daily life. Players and club members who live by the tennis calendar are the second core group.

What's the story behind your product?

Tennis Day's answer:

Built by Luxena Studio, an independent one-person studio. The idea came from a simple gap: tennis has the most beautiful calendar in sports — grass, clay, hard courts, each with its own mood — but every app treats it as a spreadsheet. So we designed the season instead: one poster per day, from Wimbledon to the US Open. The iOS app reached #1 in App Store search for "tennis calendar" shortly after launch.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Tennis Day's answer:

  • Individual tennis fans and club players (it's a consumer product — no enterprise customers)
  • Tenniscore and tennis-aesthetic enthusiasts who use the daily posters as phone wallpapers
  • iOS users who keep the Tennis Day widget on their home screen through the Grand Slam season

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Tennis Day's answer:

The whole product is AI-built end to end. The website and iOS app were vibe-coded with Claude Code (Anthropic's AI coding agent) — from the Next.js/React/TypeScript web app on AWS to the Swift + WidgetKit iOS widgets — with the founder directing product and design decisions. All 365 daily posters are AI-generated illustrations, art-directed by hand in a consistent vintage-poster style. It's a one-person studio shipping at team speed by pairing human taste with AI execution.
