Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Mendix and corebapp.

What's the story behind your product?

corebapp's answer:

Corebapp started with frustration.

We kept seeing internal tools begin as small projects and slowly turn into expensive systems no one wanted to maintain. Low-code and AI promised speed, but often introduced new risks.

So we asked a simple question: what if internal apps didn’t need to be written at all?

The answer became the assembly model and eventually, Corebapp.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

corebapp's answer:

Corebapp is built on a modern, enterprise-grade architecture designed for security, scalability, and long-term stability.

At a high level, this includes:

  • Metadata-driven application modeling
  • Strong backend service architecture
  • Enterprise authentication and authorization (SSO, RBAC)
  • API-first integration via Points of Data (PODs)

We favor proven, durable technologies over bleeding-edge trends because reliability matters more than novelty.

What makes your product unique?

corebapp's answer:

Most platforms still generate code (either manually or with AI) and then expect teams to secure it, maintain it, and debug it forever.

corebapp is different because nothing is written. Business Apps are assembled from hardened building blocks: data models, views, permissions, workflows, and integrations. That means fewer failure points, no dependency drift, and no security surprises hidden in generated code.

In short: we remove complexity instead of abstracting it.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

corebapp's answer:

Choose Corebapp if you’re tired of “low-code” platforms that quietly turn into custom software projects.

We’re built for teams that care about security, governance, and long-term maintainability, not just fast demos.

We don’t optimize for hype. We optimize for years of real usage, with lower total cost of ownership and far less operational overhead.

If you want maximum freedom to write custom code, Corebapp may not be the right fit. If you want reliable internal apps that just keep working, it is.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

corebapp's answer:

Corebapp is built for mid-size to large enterprises, public sector organizations, and teams operating in regulated environments.

Our users are typically IT leaders, architects, and technical operators who’ve seen internal tools grow messy, fragile, and expensive and want a calmer, more predictable way to build and run them.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

corebapp's answer:

  • Enterprise customers operating under NDA
  • European public sector organizations
  • Regulated enterprises with strict compliance requirements

Many of our customers value discretion over publicity, which we fully respect.
