Long answer, you should probably just use regular auth but you could get creative and find other ways to do get around it. For example, when the user purchase the ad removal you send them an email with a customized link that when clicked it sets a cookie on your site that you can check and hide the ads. The specific target interview format I have in mind is via a shared, live editor (e.g. https://coderpad.io/) and a video link, lasting ~1hr. The practice format might be more like 45min for the interview followed by 15 - 30min for feedback and discussion.
