Hey HN, Arch CEO here! Our team has been working at the intersection of data engineering and software engineering for a few years now with Meltano (https://meltano.com), and this year, the rise in Generative AI has made it clear that the bottleneck in unlocking the potential value of data has shifted from data integration on data teams to data engineering on software teams, so weโve decided to do something about... - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
We use Meltano for (EL) and Prefect for scheduling. Is not click-ops, but works very well for us! Behind the scenes Meltano wraps up Singer spec similarly like Airbyte does with its connectors. Before that we tried Airbyte (~5 months ago?) and it was so bad.. We could not choose the columns to replicate and the connectors were unstable i.e. Skipping data, all sort of odd errors and so on.. Meltano's all-remote team and community of thousands are on a mission to enable everyone to realize the full potential of their data. To this end, we are bringing software engineering best practices to data teams in the form of an open-source DataOps platform that we envision becoming the foundation of every team's ideal data stack. Our public company handbook (https://handbook.meltano.com/) has all the details on... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago

We switched from AWS Glue to Meltano for the EL part of ELT and it's been a joy to use. We're moving so much faster now. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm a Graphite->Cursor->??? Employee :^) FWIW, Origin is owned by the Graphite folks inside of Cursor: the project was announced by Tomas, Graphite co-founder, at Cursor's Compile conference today. https://graphite.com/ if you're not familiar, is a tool built on top of GitHub! - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Platforms like Graphite that integrate AI review, stacked PRs, and merge automation into a unified system address the full outer-loop bottleneck rather than just one piece of it. The data is clear: small PRs reviewed by AI catch 3x more defects than large PRs reviewed by humans alone, and teams using integrated automation platforms ship 20 to 65% more code while maintaining or improving quality. For engineering... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Graphite is an AI-augmented code review and pull request workflow platform designed to help teams ship higher-quality code faster by rethinking how reviews and merges work. It integrates AI feedback directly into pull requests, supports stacked pull request workflows, and provides automated merge orchestration. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
Iโve had a lot of success using https://graphite.dev/. Been pretty easy to pick up and slots right into our usual GitHub workflow. I end up using the vscode extension to manage it. Anyone have opinions how jujutsu compares? - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
I've felt like a broken record the past few weeks, but this. Authoring has never been the bottle neck, the same way my typing speed has never been the bottle neck. The bottle neck has been, and continues to be, code review. It was in our pitch deck 4 years ago; it's still there. For most companies, by default, it's a process that's synchronously blocked on another human. We need to either make it async (stacking)... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
