MeeLang is a real-time AI translator for Google Meet. It translates what everyone says into your own language and puts it on screen as live subtitles โ€” while the sentence is still being spoken. Stop guessing, stop asking people to repeat themselves, and just follow the conversation.

WHO IT'S FOR โ€ข Remote teams working across countries and time zones โ€ข Anyone joining a video call held in a language they're still learning โ€ข Interviews, onboarding, sales calls, and customer support across a language barrier โ€ข Students and researchers in international online meetings

HOW IT WORKS 1. Install MeeLang and open any Google Meet call. 2. Choose the language you want to read. 3. Translated subtitles appear on screen as people speak.

No bot to invite, no meeting link to paste, no calendar to connect, nothing to switch on. It works the moment the call starts.

WHY MEELANG โ€ข Real-time translation. Translated captions arrive while the sentence is still being said โ€” not in a summary you read after the meeting. โ€ข No bot joins your call. Other participants see nothing: no extra "recorder" in the participant list, no announcement, no interruption. โ€ข Your language, your screen. Everyone on the call can read live subtitles in a different language at the same time. โ€ข Meeting content is kept on your device โ€” nothing is lost when the call ends. โ€ข Export any meeting content with original and translation together. โ€ข AI summary for your meeting content โ€ข Zero setup. No accounts to link, no admin approval, no IT ticket.

YOUR MEETING MANAGER Every translated meeting is kept on your device, so the conversation is still there after everyone hangs up. Open MeeLang to: โ€ข Review, search by keyword, filter by speaker or platform, and delete your meeting records anytime โ€ข Rename a meeting and write your own summary, so it's easy to find months later โ€ข Export meeting records as you want, original and translation together

php eventloop features and specs

  • Simple and lightweight
The library provides a minimalistic implementation of an event loop in PHP, making it easy to understand and integrate into small projects without heavy dependencies.
  • Educational value
As a straightforward PHP event loop implementation, it serves as a great learning resource for developers wanting to understand how event loops and asynchronous programming concepts work under the hood in PHP.
  • Non-blocking I/O support
The library enables non-blocking I/O operations in PHP, allowing developers to handle multiple tasks concurrently without relying on multi-threading, which PHP does not natively support well.
  • Timer and periodic task support
It provides built-in support for timers and periodic tasks, enabling developers to schedule recurring operations or delayed execution within the event loop.
  • Pure PHP implementation
The library is written in pure PHP without requiring external C extensions, making it portable and easy to install across different PHP environments without special compilation steps.

Possible disadvantages of php eventloop

  • Limited community and support
The project has a very small community with minimal stars, forks, and contributors on GitHub, which means limited peer support, fewer bug reports, and potentially slower issue resolution.
  • Not production-ready
Given its small scale and limited adoption, the library may not be battle-tested enough for production environments where reliability, performance, and stability are critical.
  • Limited features compared to alternatives
More established PHP async libraries like ReactPHP, AmpPHP, and others offer far more comprehensive ecosystems with HTTP servers, database clients, and stream handling that this library lacks.
  • Performance limitations
Being a pure PHP implementation without leveraging extensions like ev, libuv, or swoole, the event loop may suffer from performance bottlenecks compared to extension-backed alternatives when handling high concurrency.
  • Poor documentation
The repository has minimal documentation and examples, making it difficult for new users to understand the full API, edge cases, and best practices for using the library effectively.

Analysis of php eventloop

Overall verdict

  • php-eventloop is a lightweight event loop implementation for PHP that provides a solid, minimalistic solution for developers wanting to implement asynchronous, non-blocking behavior without adopting a full framework like ReactPHP or Amp. It's good for learning purposes and simpler use cases, though it lacks the extensive ecosystem, tooling, and production hardening of more established async libraries.

Why this product is good

  • Lightweight and simple to understand, making it easy to integrate into small projects
  • Useful for learning how event loops work under the hood in PHP
  • Minimal dependencies compared to larger async frameworks
  • Open source and available for inspection/modification on GitHub
  • Can be a good starting point for building custom async solutions

Recommended for

  • Developers learning about event-driven programming in PHP
  • Small projects needing basic async functionality without heavy dependencies
  • Educational purposes and understanding event loop internals
  • Prototyping simple non-blocking I/O operations
  • Developers who want full control over a minimal event loop implementation

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing MeeLang and php eventloop.

What makes your product unique?

MeeLang's answer

MeeLang is built specifically for real-time multilingual conversations in Google Meet. Instead of translating after someone finishes speaking, it translates while they're still talking, so you can follow the conversation naturally with minimal delay.

Key differentiators:

  1. Real-time translation with very low latency
  2. Works directly inside Google Meet as a Chrome extension
  3. No meeting bot or extra participant joins the call
  4. No meeting links, invitations, or calendar integration required
  5. AI-powered translations optimized for natural conversations
  6. Simple one-click setup and ready in seconds

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

MeeLang's answer

Most translation tools either add noticeable delay or require a meeting bot to join your call. MeeLang takes a different approach.

We built MeeLang to make multilingual meetings feel as natural as possible. It translates speech while people are still talking, displays live subtitles directly in Google Meet, and runs as a lightweight Chrome extensionโ€”so there's no bot joining your meeting, no meeting links to share, and no complicated setup.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

MeeLang's answer

MeeLang is designed for anyone who regularly joins multilingual Google Meet calls, especially people who need to understand conversations in real time rather than after they're over.

Our primary audience includes: 1. Remote teams collaborating across different countries and languages 2. Professionals in international meetings, client calls, and sales conversations 3. Students and educators attending online classes or lectures in another language 4. Job seekers participating in interviews with international companies 5. Freelancers and consultants working with global clients

Anyone using Google Meet who wants to follow conversations more confidently without language barriers Whether you're working, learning, or interviewing, MeeLang helps you understand every conversation as it happens.

What's the story behind your product?

MeeLang's answer

MeeLang started from a simple frustration: multilingual Google Meet conversations were much harder than they should be.

Existing solutions often introduced noticeable translation delays, or produced subtitles that appeared only after someone had finished speaking. That made fast-paced discussions, interviews, and team meetings difficult to follow.

We believed real-time translation should feel invisible. So we built MeeLang as a lightweight Chrome extension that works directly in Google Meet. It translates speech while it's being spoken and displays live subtitles on screen, without requiring bots, meeting links, or complicated setup. Our mission is simple: remove language barriers so anyone can participate in global conversations with confidence. As AI continues to improve, we want language to become something people no longer have to think about during a meeting.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

MeeLang's answer

MeeLang combines several modern technologies to deliver fast, real-time translation:

  1. Google Meet Chrome Extension (Manifest V3) for seamless in-browser integration
  2. AI-powered Speech Recognition (ASR) to transcribe conversations in real time
  3. Large Language Models (LLMs) for high-quality, context-aware translation
  4. Low-latency streaming pipeline to generate subtitles while people are still speaking

The core challenge isn't just translation accuracyโ€”it's delivering natural, high-quality translations with minimal latency so conversations can flow without interruption.
