CatchForm is a form backend for static websites. You change one attribute in your HTML — the form's action — and submissions start landing in an inbox.

Each submission is stored, shown in a web inbox, emailed to an address you confirm, and optionally POSTed to a webhook. Field names are yours: whatever your HTML sends is what gets saved.

It works on any host — Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, S3, your own server — and keeps working if you move between them. Built for developers using Astro, Hugo, Eleventy, Jekyll and plain HTML, where there is no server to process a contact form.

Free plan: 1 form, 100 submissions a month, no card. Pro is $12/month or $120/year: 10 forms, 10,000 submissions a month, file uploads and webhooks.

Spam is filtered with a honeypot field. Redirects are restricted to the host you configure, so your endpoint cannot be used to launder links.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Marq and CatchForm.dev.

What makes your product unique?

CatchForm.dev's answer:

CatchForm is deliberately not a form builder. Your HTML defines the fields — whatever your form posts is what gets stored — so adding a field means editing your own markup, not reconfiguring anything here.

Two defaults are unusual. Notifications only go to an address you have confirmed by clicking a link sent to it, so an endpoint cannot be pointed at a stranger's mailbox. And redirects after submit are restricted to the host you set in your form's settings, so the endpoint cannot be used to bounce visitors to somewhere else.

Submissions are stored independently of email. If a notification bounces or lands in spam, the message is still in your inbox here.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

CatchForm.dev's answer:

Because it is not tied to where your site is hosted. The same form works on Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, S3 or your own server, and keeps working when you move between them.

The free plan is meant to be used on a real site rather than to expire: one form, 100 submissions a month, no card. Pro is $12/month or $120/year for 10 forms, 10,000 submissions a month, file uploads and webhooks.

It is built and supported by one developer. Support, billing and bug reports go to one address and are answered by the person who wrote the code — there is no ticket queue to navigate.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CatchForm.dev's answer:

Developers and small web studios building static sites — Astro, Hugo, Eleventy, Jekyll, or hand-written HTML — where there is no server to process a contact form and adding one is out of proportion to the need.

Typically a portfolio, a landing page, documentation, or a small business site with a contact or enquiry form. People who want the form to work, not a form product to learn.

What's the story behind your product?

CatchForm.dev's answer:

CatchForm grew out of a set of small tools built by one developer in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The form backend was the one with demand that never goes away: every static site eventually needs a contact form, and every time it means either standing up a server for a single POST or pasting a mailto: link that quietly loses messages.

It launched publicly on catchform.dev in 2026. It stays deliberately small — one job, done properly, rather than a form builder that grows features until it needs a manual.
