  • Create real distro instead of live environment
I want to create a linux distro based off of void linux, running in my main system right now. I love everything about it and think it is a great project. I would like to make my own version, however, utilising much of the same things. I have searched it up and found a lot of articles from websites such as makeuseof.com which all show ways to make a live CD type thing from a pre existing OS. I would like to make a... • Why does storm fiber ban certain links?
Is it only my connection or does everyone face this issue? Like they ban the most harmless and dumb links one can think of. For instance, if you copy a video link from YT the link is like this "https://youtu.be/....." and it doesn't work! While the youtube.com domain works perfectly fine. Same is the case with other completely harmless websites like bbc.co.uk, makeuseof.com and many more! IDK if this is a storm... Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Looking for advice on gaming laptop/monitor
Greetings friends, I currently have a very old gaming pc that I have not upgraded in close to a decade. It has a 970 in it so yeah... I have decided that I would rather have something portable that I can play on my lunch breaks at work and take with me travelling. I also want to get a nice gaming monitor that I can plug it into when I'm at home. I was looking at anandtech.com for suggestions but I thought it would... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Just wanted to share my first build and set up. Not exactly where I want it to be but Iโ€™ve worked very hard and Iโ€™m very proud. Specs on second pic
Great job on the build, but you might want to stay away from userbenchmark, as they don't have the most reliable information. I have heard that passmark.com and anandtech.com are better alternatives. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • I've been debating on getting either the 5700g or 10900k for a portable tv tuner pc build in the J-Hack Purโ€‹e MK2 3 Liter case.
According to the results from anandtech.com the 10900k and 5700g trade blows with each other. I couldnโ€™t find any final results on the overall performance, but it looks like they are about equal in terms of horsepower. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Alternative Reader View Add-On that keeps the original website design & functionality
In the case of anandtech.com, I assume you want to make the font size larger? What if there would be a default style override to make that change for everyone? (there are already things like that in manualContentBlock.css). Source: over 3 years ago
  • Alternative Reader View Add-On that keeps the original website design & functionality
Thanks, very nice start. The default reader mode was always doing too much. I've enabled this to automatically switch on for anandtech.com and it works for just the articles :). Source: over 3 years ago
