Ive done a number of these sets ups and there should be software to break up the comp for you. The workflow ive used the past is make one 4k comp and then send it thru https://madmapper.com or similar. If you HAVE to do it the way you describe check out render region of interest. I think that it really depends on what the PWA is trying to do and its purpose. I think the Twitter, Instagram, and Starbucks apps are both good examples of what can be done. Go to the Appscope website ( http://appsco.pe/) on the KaiOS phone and you will find a list of Progressive Web Apps. Some work better than others. Pin the app to the Apps Menu.
