Lunar Frame is a free browser-based app for planning Moon photography shots. It helps photographers plan compositions where the Moon aligns with a specific target, such as a church, tower, bridge, chimney, hill or other landmark. You can set an observer point and a target on the map, check Moonrise and Moonset directions, search for good dates, preview the frame with your camera setup and analyze terrain visibility before going into the field.
The app includes calendar-based planning, a yearly alignment matrix, saved plans, terrain profile, frame simulation, custom map objects, Moon phases, conjunctions, eclipses and other sky events. One of its key features is the ability to add your own simple buildings or objects on the map and see them later in the frame simulation, which helps estimate whether something may block or shape the planned composition. Lunar Frame also includes an eclipse module with visibility maps, phase timelines, 3D visualization, comparison tools and educational explanations.
It works directly in the browser on desktop, tablet and mobile. It can also be installed as a PWA on a phone without using an app store.
Lunar Frame is actively developed and currently free to use.

LunarFrame.pl's answer
Lunar Frame started as a personal tool. Its creator, ลukasz, regularly photographs the Moon over landmarks and landscape elements, but planning those shots often required switching between several different apps and maps.
The idea behind Lunar Frame was to create one place where a photographer could plan the whole shot: observer position, target, Moon alignment, terrain, camera frame and timing. Over time, the app expanded with saved plans, yearly matrices, frame simulation, custom map objects, eclipses and educational explanations.
The project is still actively developed and shaped by real photography workflows and user feedback.
LunarFrame.pl's answer
Since Lunar Frame is currently a free public app and does not require paid accounts, there are no formal enterprise customers to list.

LunarFrame.pl's answer
Lunar Frame combines Moon photography planning, map-based alignments, terrain analysis, frame simulation and eclipse tools in one browser-based app.
Its strongest difference is the workflow around planning a shot with a specific target: you can set an observer and a target on the map, check Moonrise/Moonset alignment, scan multiple dates, use a yearly matrix, compare locations and preview the frame with your camera setup.
Lunar Frame also lets users add simple custom objects or buildings on the map and see them later in the frame simulation, which helps estimate whether a structure or obstacle may affect the planned composition.
LunarFrame.pl's answer
Lunar Frame is free, works directly in the browser and can be used on desktop, tablet and mobile without installing a native app.
It is especially useful for photographers who plan Moon shots with specific landmarks, buildings, hills or other targets. Instead of checking one date at a time, users can scan multiple full moons, inspect a yearly matrix, compare several locations and use corridor-style planning to find better observation areas.
It also includes a growing eclipse module with visibility maps, phase timelines, 3D visualization and comparison tools, making it useful not only for Moon alignments but also for planning and understanding astronomical events.
LunarFrame.pl's answer
Lunar Frame is primarily built for Moon photographers, landscape photographers, astrophotographers and visual creators who want to plan shots where the Moon aligns with a specific object or landscape feature.
It is also useful for astronomy enthusiasts who want to follow full moons, conjunctions, eclipses and other sky events in a more visual and practical way.
LunarFrame.pl's answer
Lunar Frame is built as a browser-based web application / PWA.

Before I started anything, the first thing I had to do was set up my environment on my MacBook, according to the directions on the ReactNative.dev site. ReactNative allows one project to create both iOS and Android mobile applications, but since I didnโt want to bite off more than I could chew, I would focus on developing an app for the iPhone 16 Pro:. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
React Native is a widely used framework for hybrid mobile app development, supported by Meta. It enables developers to build cross-platform applications using JavaScript and React while delivering a near-native experience. Instead of relying on WebViews, React Native renders actual native UI components, resulting in better performance and smoother interactions. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
