Lumi Expense Tracker's answer
Lumi removes the two things that make most expense trackers tedious: manual entry and bank logins. You capture an expense in about three seconds — by voice, by scanning a receipt in any language, from Apple Pay, or by double-tapping the back of your iPhone (Back Tap). Nothing connects to your bank, and your data stays on your device. On top of that, an AI forecast projects where your spending will land by month-end.
Lumi Expense Tracker's answer
Most budgeting apps — Spendee, Rocket Money, YNAB, Buddy, CoinKeeper and similar — rely on linking your bank account, which many people are uncomfortable with and which often breaks outside the US. Lumi takes the opposite approach: no bank connection, privacy by default, and the fastest possible logging. It's a good fit if you want to track day-to-day spending without handing over banking credentials or doing manual data entry, with 150+ currencies and Family Sharing built in.
Lumi Expense Tracker's answer
Individuals who want to understand and control everyday spending without connecting a bank: privacy-conscious iPhone users, people who pay mostly with Apple Pay, frequent travelers and multi-currency users, and couples or families sharing a budget. Lumi is used across multiple languages, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Korean, Ukrainian, Georgian.
Lumi Expense Tracker's answer
Lumi started as a personal solution. As an indie developer, I wanted to keep track of my own spending but disliked every option — they either required linking a bank account or demanded constant manual entry. So I built a tracker around the fastest ways to log an expense on iPhone (voice, receipt scan, Apple Pay, Back Tap), with privacy as a default rather than a feature. It grew from there into a full expense tracker with budgets, savings goals, and an AI month-end forecast.
