Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Live Digital Menus and CodeinCloud.

What makes your product unique?

Live Digital Menus's answer

It's built specifically for restaurants that want to display menus on TVs. Not a general digital signage tool repurposed for food. No hardware required, no apps to install. Just open a browser on any smart TV, and your menu is live. Updates happen in real time with zero reprints.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Live Digital Menus's answer

Most competitors are either expensive digital signage platforms that require special hardware, or basic QR-only menu tools. Live Digital Menus does both. TV display and QR sharing — with features like 10-language auto-translation, daily specials scheduling, allergen tags, and full brand customization. Free tier available, no contracts.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Live Digital Menus's answer

Restaurant owners, bar managers, and café operators who want a professional-looking digital menu on their TV screens without the cost and complexity of traditional digital signage systems.

What's the story behind your product?

Live Digital Menus's answer

I noticed that POS systems like Toast and Square handle ordering well, but none of them do TV menu displays natively. Restaurant owners were stuck choosing between expensive signage hardware and ugly DIY solutions. I built Live Digital Menus to fill that gap. A single tool that handles menu boards really well, works with any POS, and takes minutes to set up.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Live Digital Menus's answer

React, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare R2, Stripe, Netlify, and Railway
