If you have root, it is fairly trivial to run full-on arm64 Linux distro in chroot. That should fix most problems with linux software in termux. There is also Linux Deploy[1] that automates the process of setting up chroot, ssh and even gui desktop (through framebuffer). Your question is invalid (and my point proven, sadly) unless you know how to run Linux Deploy on a Chromecast. You were too busy trying to be the smartest guy in the room before thinking to ask what I was actually doing with this thing in the first place. Source: over 3 years ago
Yes; I use Linux Deploy on most of my rooted Android devices to set up a chroot environment easily (it's kinda old though, so there may be much better alternatives). I used my old Amazon Fire as a Pi-hole that way. Source: over 3 years ago
I published a fork of Linux Deploy that automatically installs Pi-hole and Unbound, configures SSH/RDP access, and optionally installs Raspbian PIXEL Desktop to any rooted Android 5.0+ device. Source: over 3 years ago
I use LinuxDeploy to stage my chroots, simple and easy (also available on Play and F-Droid) on rooted. I even have a mobile/handheld software defined radio (or as I like to refer to it as, a 1st gen, poor persons TriCorder). Can't do this in Termux or a proot, but in a chroot and easy as eating cake. Honukai has long been my favorite iTerm, Oh My ZSH color theme, and I just assumed it existed for other use cases. But alas, I had to create them for myself. I adapted Oskar's work for Tabby terminal, ZED IDE and VS Code. You can get the files here. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
I've found Tabby does a good job and is Cross-Platform to you can use on Windows too. It can run any installed shell, serial connections and ssh. You can create profiles. It needs some work to be fully functional in Wayland i.e. Autohide feature doesn't work. But that's a graphical issue. Though, if you're just after creating and organising SSH profiles not terminal emulation, Remmina already has you covered.... Source: about 3 years ago
Just in case you didn't know that a project called Tabby exists (it was Terminus). It's a terminal (another one you could say). It's not my project, I'm just a user. https://tabby.sh/. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
You're probably using the default terminal on your operating system so search on google how to get transparency for windows/mac terminal if you find a way use it if not you'll have to use an external terminal that supports transparency one of my favs is tabby - https://tabby.sh/.
