Linux.com mentions (5)

  • Does anybody else wish people wouldn't start with Ubuntu?
I mean, in linux's current state, by default, it's not noob friendly, considering it's not as simple as going to https://linux.com and hitting a "download now" button. I'm thinking more along the lines of, you have a buddy, who is considering installing linux instead of windows 11, and wants a suggestion from you. What would you say? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • @linux.com email
Yes on the linuxfoundation website you can purchase a lifetime linux.com email for 150$usd but I bougth mine like 8 years ago. Source: over 2 years ago
  • @linux.com email
Write now when I email to the linux.com domain it gets rejected with error code 500 no user found. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Trouble installing ubuntu "unable to inform kernel of the change.."
I downloaded to ISO from linux.com and used rufus.ie. The usb stick I am using is 16gb. Source: over 2 years ago
  • is here a simple forwarding email service?
Just like linux.com email (only a forwarding email service, not full email service). Source: over 3 years ago

Planet Ubuntu mentions (1)

  • Where do you guys go for your Ubuntu news?
Ubuntu is a distributor of software, so although there is some development inside Ubuntu, the majority of news about Ubuntu is about global development. Many large FOSS projects have a _planet_ which is a feed aggregator for community member blogs. This is an enormous source of news. For Ubuntu, it's https://planet.ubuntu.com. You also have https://planet.gnome.org and https://planet.kde.org. Source: about 2 years ago
