One of my best recommendations is to spin up a linux server in the cloud, you can do it for free for a few months from linode.com for example. Logi's hardware is nice, but their software just freaking sucks the electrons out of a battery. It's awful. Just switched from logi options to Steer Mouse myself. You can map the buttons and add chords. The only thing it might lack is being able to use mouse movement as a trigger (eg hold the back button and move left to change spaces).
