I found myself in a similar situation and also started de-googling, which is much nicer and liberating than I was fearing. I did the exact same thing with Immich (what a great software, by the way!). And in case it helps: Instead of always relying on google maps, I now mostly use CoMaps (https://www.comaps.app/). Way better than using directly OpenStreetMap. And for my Pixel 7, I switched to LineageOS with gapps... - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
I have used LineageOS [0] for a few years on my old phone, and last year I got a Pixel 4 and I am using Graphene on it. Both systems work well and I am really glad they exist; Graphene gets extra points for its extremely easy installation process. Unfortunately it seems Graphene is already phasing out support for the Pixel 4 [1], so I'll have to switch back to Lineage at some point. CyanogenMod (now LineageOS) quickly became my favourite, offering a level of control and customization that felt almost magical. To flash these new systems, I had to install ClockWorkMod Recovery (CWM), a process... - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
The book introduces the core libraries essential for working with data in Python: particularly IPython, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn, and related packages Familiarity with Python as a language is assumed; if you need a quick introduction to the language itself, see the free companion project, Aโฆ. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
As alluded to in Poetry2Nix Development Flake with Matplotlib GTK Support, Iโm currently in the process of getting my โnewโ python workflow up to speed. My second problem, after dependency and environment management, was that fancy REPLs like ipython or ptpython donโt jazz well with the standard comint based inferior python repl that comes with python-mode. One can basically only run ipython with the... - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
Third, if possible use a command line interpreter to test things out. I recommend ipython for this purpose. You can use your browser's developer console this way if you are learning Javascript. Source: over 3 years ago
