UEFI is just another M$ abomination 8-( In this specific vulnerability, I wonder how possible it is to modify that boot logo remotely? Wouldn't exploiting this vuln require local access? I don't own a cell phone and my computer is entirely free, its BIOS replaced with libreboot running Trisquel, a 100% free-software operating system. Support guys like this: Https://system76.com/ & https://coreboot.org/ that do their best to remove everything proprietary at as low level as possible for Intel and AMD. You can also hack some older thinkpads that I think completely disable IME. Source: almost 3 years ago
