  • What is a SIS? From my understanding it sounds like a database to store student information. Why do I need it if I'm using MYSQL? Can someone please help me understand?
Once you are putting information from moodle into a MySQL database you technically are creating a form of SIS, just a poorly designed one. I would consider looking at some of the free SIS packages out there. OpenSIS is known for integrating well with Moodle https://opensis.com/. Source: about 4 years ago
