LeaderCues is a private workspace for engineering managers and team leads. Write a quick note after each 1-1 and it remembers what was discussed, what you promised, and what to bring up next time. Before every meeting you get a short prep with open topics and follow-ups. Your reports never see it, and it never rates people. Free plan available. It also spots patterns worth attention, like an overload building up or a career conversation gone quiet, and can remind you by email before scheduled 1-1s. Notes are immutable and stay yours: no HR workflows, no performance scores, no team analytics for anyone above you. Built for managers with 3 to 15 reports who keep losing context between meetings. Plus plan is $12 per month with a larger AI allowance.

Overall verdict

  • CodeHerald appears to be a niche or lesser-known platform, and there is insufficient verified public information available to make a confident, evidence-based assessment of its quality, reliability, or reputation.

Why this product is good

  • Limited publicly available reviews, ratings, or independent coverage to verify claims
  • No substantial user feedback or track record found across common review platforms

  • Those comfortable testing new or unverified services with minimal financial or data risk
  • Not recommended for users seeking an established, well-reviewed solution without additional verification

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing LeaderCues and CodeHerald.

What makes your product unique?

LeaderCues's answer

Most tools in this space are built for HR or for the whole company. LeaderCues is built for one person, the manager. Your reports never log in, nobody above you sees your notes, and the AI never rates or scores anyone. It does one narrow thing well: it remembers what your team tells you and hands it back right before you need it, as a short prep before each 1-1. Notes are immutable and everything the AI produces points back to the note it came from.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

LeaderCues's answer

Fellow, Lattice, and 15Five are platforms your company adopts. LeaderCues is a tool you pick up yourself, like a notebook. No rollout, no seats to buy, no HR process attached. If you manage 3 to 15 engineers and your real problem is walking into 1-1s cold and losing track of what you promised, this is the lightest thing that fixes it. The free plan has no time limit, and the core workflow keeps working even with zero AI credits.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

LeaderCues's answer

Engineering managers and team leads at software companies, usually with 3 to 15 direct reports. The typical user runs weekly or biweekly 1-1s, keeps scattered notes in five places, and has been burned by forgetting something a report told them a month ago.

What's the story behind your product?

LeaderCues's answer

It was built by an engineering manager who kept losing context between 1-1s. The notes existed, spread across docs and memory, but walking into a meeting there was never time to reread them. A report would mention something personal or important, and three weeks later it was gone. The fix started as a habit, one page per person and three lines after every conversation, and LeaderCues is that habit turned into a product: the notes stay raw and yours, and the AI does the rereading for you.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

LeaderCues's answer

The backend is .NET with PostgreSQL, the web app is React and TypeScript. It runs on AWS in the EU, and the AI features are powered by Claude through Amazon Bedrock. All AI work happens asynchronously in a job queue, so the app stays fast and usable even when the model is thinking.
