Once that worked for local development, the obvious next question was why the cloud version of the same idea had to mean a different vendor for every engine and a bill that changes every month. So we built the managed platform around the same principles: every engine in one place, provisioning in seconds, and flat pricing you can predict. The desktop app and the CLI are still there for local work, and the cloud picks up where they leave off.

TypeScript end to end. The web app and dashboard are Next.js and React, the desktop app is Electron, and the CLI ships on npm. Databases run in containers on bare-metal servers with ZFS storage, which is what makes near-instant database branching possible, and connections are routed with TLS/SNI so hibernated databases can wake on connect.
