Job searching is broken. Up to 40% of online listings are ghost jobs โ€” positions that were never real. Last/JobScout was built to fix that. Search 50+ sources in one click. Every result gets an AI match score based on your resume and dream job criteria. Our BS/Scout feature analyzes each listing for legitimacy signals โ€” stale postings, vague descriptions, recycled roles โ€” so you know which jobs are worth your time before you apply. Features: Multi-source job aggregation (LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Workday, 40+ more), AI match scoring, ghost job detection, deep Scout Reports on any company, AI career coaching that knows your background, and a Playbook to track your entire pipeline. Built by a 20-year product management veteran who was tired of the same broken job search experience. Currently in private beta โ€” free for early users. Senior product managers welcome.

CommitCat features and specs

  • Simplified Git Interface
CommitCat aims to provide a user-friendly graphical interface for Git, making version control more accessible to developers who may find the command line intimidating or cumbersome.
  • Free and Open Source
CommitCat is offered as a free tool, lowering the barrier to entry for individuals and small teams who need a Git client without the cost associated with some commercial alternatives.
  • Cross-Platform Support
CommitCat is designed to work across multiple operating systems, allowing developers on different platforms to use the same familiar tool for their version control needs.
  • Beginner-Friendly
The tool is positioned to help newcomers to Git and version control by providing a more visual and intuitive way to manage repositories, commits, and branches without needing deep command-line expertise.
  • Lightweight Application
CommitCat is designed to be a lightweight Git client that doesn't consume excessive system resources, making it suitable for developers who prefer a lean, fast tool over feature-heavy alternatives.

Possible disadvantages of CommitCat

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Small Community and Ecosystem
As a lesser-known tool, CommitCat has a smaller user community, which means fewer tutorials, community-driven plugins, and peer support compared to mainstream Git clients.
  • Limited Visibility and Traction
CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Analysis of LastJobScout

Overall verdict

  • I don't have verified information about LastJobScout (lastjobscout.com) in my training data, so I can't confirm its legitimacy, features, or user satisfaction. It may be a newer, niche, or low-visibility service that hasn't been widely reviewed or documented.

Why this product is good

  • Unable to verify actual features or service quality due to lack of available information
  • Cannot confirm user reviews, ratings, or reputation from credible sources
  • No data on pricing, business model, or how it compares to established job search platforms
  • Domain may be new, rebranded, or not widely indexed/discussed online

Recommended for

  • Users should independently verify by checking the website directly for details
  • Look for third-party reviews on sites like Trustpilot, Reddit, or the Better Business Bureau before using
  • Check domain registration age and company transparency (About page, contact info, physical address)
  • Consider well-established alternatives like LinkedIn, Indeed, or Glassdoor if verification of LastJobScout proves difficult
  • Exercise caution with any job search service asking for payment or personal/financial information upfront

Analysis of CommitCat

Overall verdict

  • CommitCat is a lesser-known tool listed on F6S with limited independent reviews, feedback, or verifiable usage data available publicly, making it difficult to fully vouch for its quality or reliability. It may serve niche use cases but lacks the widespread validation seen in more established developer tools.

Why this product is good

  • Listed on F6S, a platform for startups, which can indicate early-stage or niche tooling
  • May offer specific functionality related to commit tracking or Git workflow management
  • Could provide value for small teams or individual developers looking for lightweight solutions
  • Limited market presence means less community support, documentation, or third-party reviews
  • Unclear long-term support or update frequency given its low profile

Recommended for

  • Developers or teams willing to experiment with lesser-known or early-stage tools
  • Startups or indie hackers looking for niche commit-related utilities
  • Users who prioritize trying new tools over established, well-reviewed alternatives
  • Not recommended for enterprises or teams needing proven, well-supported solutions with strong community backing

What makes your product unique?

LastJobScout's answer

Last/JobScout is the only job search tool with built-in ghost job detection. Up to 40% of online listings are fake โ€” stale postings, recycled roles, positions that were never real. Our BS/Scout feature analyzes every listing for legitimacy signals before you waste time applying. Combine that with AI match scoring against your actual resume and dream job criteria, and you stop guessing which jobs are worth pursuing.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

LastJobScout's answer

Most job tools help you find more listings. Last/JobScout helps you find better ones. We search 50+ sources at once so you're not bouncing between job boards, score every result against your resume and goals, flag the ghost jobs, and generate deep Scout Reports on any company โ€” all before you write a single cover letter. It's the difference between applying to 100 jobs and hoping, versus applying to 10 you actually have a shot at.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

LastJobScout's answer

Product resources and experienced professionals actively searching for their next role. People who've been in the industry long enough to know the job search is broken โ€” and who are tired of wasting time on ghost listings, generic job boards, and AI tools that don't understand their background.

What's the story behind your product?

LastJobScout's answer

I'm a 20-year product management veteran. After co-founding and scaling a SaaS company to $19M ARR, I found myself back in the job market and hit the same broken experience everyone complains about โ€” ghost jobs, irrelevant matches, no way to tell which listings were real. So I built the tool I wished existed. Last/JobScout started as a personal frustration and became a product.
