AgentsKit is an open-source, composable toolkit for building AI agents in JavaScript and TypeScript. Instead of forcing an application into a single framework or model provider, it separates adapters, runtime, tools, skills, memory, RAG, sandboxing, observability, evaluation, and headless UI behind six versioned contracts. Teams can install only the packages they need, replace a provider or layer without rewriting the rest of the application, and start locally without an API key. The 10 KB core has zero runtime dependencies, while the wider ecosystem includes 25 focused packages, ready-made skills, provider adapters, recipes, Registry agents, and the Agents Playbook. @agentskit/core is stable at v1; the remaining packages graduate independently under published stability tiers.
