For the win8 tablet, I wanted to use it as an extra monitor but none of the normal options for doing it was working, so what I use now is Input Director. First off, I HIGHLY recommend Input Director (Windows only) or other software KVM for the keyboard and mouse. A friend recently gave me a box of their old hardware. It included an old Toshiba Encore 2 tablet running Windows 8.1.
