Sentinel SCA is an execution-security and admissibility layer for autonomous systems. It sits between autonomous reasoning and consequential action, independently checking identity, authority and policy before an action is allowed to execute. Sentinel uses signed decisions, short-lived...

As answered by people managing JavaScript.com and Sentinel SCA.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA is primarily built using Python and FastAPI, with Redis for runtime state and replay controls, Docker for deployment and isolation, and Ed25519 cryptographic signatures for authorization evidence. The platform also uses deterministic validation, action digests, executor-side verification, fail-closed control paths, and tamper-evident audit records.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA focuses on a specific gap in AI-agent infrastructure: the difference between what an agent is capable of doing and what it is actually authorized to do at the moment of execution. Sentinel evaluates consequential actions before execution, binds authorization to the governed action, and requires the execution boundary to verify that authority before allowing the side effect. The core principle is: Capability ≠ Authority.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA is designed for organizations that need more than AI observability, identity, or post-action audit logs. Its focus is pre-execution governance: determining whether a specific action is authorized before it becomes real, then preserving evidence around that decision and execution boundary. Sentinel should be evaluated alongside alternatives based on whether that pre-execution authority layer is important to the customer’s use case.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA is primarily built for enterprises, startups, AI infrastructure teams, security teams, compliance teams, and developers deploying autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents that can take consequential actions in real systems. Relevant environments include finance, enterprise SaaS, infrastructure, operations, healthcare, and other regulated or high-impact workflows.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA came from a simple observation about how human organizations already work: being capable of doing something does not automatically give someone permission to do it.
Employees operate within roles, policies, approval levels, limits, and responsibilities. As AI agents began moving from conversation into real-world execution, the same separation between capability and authority was missing.
Sentinel SCA was created to implement that principle for autonomous systems: before an AI agent performs a consequential action, verify whether that exact action is authorized under the applicable policy and constraints.
Sentinel SCA's answer:
Sentinel SCA is currently in early commercial validation and pilot development. No major production customers are being publicly claimed at this stage.
