JackHamr is the AI coding agent that ships software end-to-end. Instead of a single assistant that tries to do everything, it runs a team of specialist agents โ€” one writes the spec, another plans the implementation, others build, test, review, and ship the code. Each agent has its own role, tools, and personality.

Agents run on hosted cloud dev environments with VS Code, Docker, SSH access, and WireGuard-encrypted networking. Close your laptop and they keep working. Talk to them with push-to-talk voice chat or type naturally. GitHub is built in โ€” one-click clone, automatic branch-per-task, real-time commit sync, and PR creation.

Bring your own LLM keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or self-hosted) or use ours at cost โ€” swap models mid-pipeline to use the best model for each task. Build custom orchestration pipelines and agent skills. Share agents across your organization.

Pay-as-you-go with fully itemized billing โ€” infrastructure at cost, LLM tokens with zero markup. $10 free credit to start, no card required.

Analysis of JackHamr

Overall verdict

  • JackHamr appears to be a niche AI-powered tool, but without verified, widespread user reviews or established track record, it's difficult to confirm it as a definitively 'good' product. Prospective users should conduct their own due diligence before committing.

Why this product is good

  • May offer AI-driven automation or content generation capabilities depending on its specific focus
  • Could provide a modern, tech-forward solution for specific workflow needs

Recommended for

  • Early adopters willing to try newer AI tools
  • Users seeking niche or specialized AI solutions
  • Businesses looking for alternative options to mainstream AI platforms
  • Those who prioritize testing new tools over relying solely on established brands

Analysis of FormulaEngineer

Overall verdict

  • FormulaEngineer appears to be a niche Excel/spreadsheet formula-generation tool aimed at helping users quickly build complex formulas without deep manual expertise, but independent reviews and widespread user feedback are limited, so it should be evaluated on a trial basis against your specific spreadsheet needs.

Why this product is good

  • Focuses specifically on generating and troubleshooting Excel formulas, which can save time compared to manual formula writing
  • May use AI or templated logic to translate plain-language requests into working formulas
  • Could be useful for users who are not advanced in Excel functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, or array formulas
  • Potentially lightweight and easy to use compared to learning full Excel scripting or VBA

Recommended for

  • Excel users who need quick help writing or debugging formulas
  • Small business owners or analysts without advanced spreadsheet training
  • People who frequently build reports and need repeatable formula solutions
  • Users looking for a simple tool rather than a full BI or automation platform

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing JackHamr and FormulaEngineer.

What makes your product unique?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

FormulaEngineer focuses on the hard part of spreadsheet processing: recalculating Excel formulas accurately inside .NET without Microsoft Excel, COM interop, or Office automation. Most spreadsheet libraries can read and write XLSX files, but FormulaEngineer is built around Excel-compatible formula evaluation, including lookup formulas, financial/statistical formulas, dynamic arrays, structured references, error propagation, and lambda-helper formulas such as LET, LAMBDA, MAP, REDUCE, SCAN, BYROW, BYCOL, and MAKEARRAY.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

Choose FormulaEngineer when formula accuracy matters more than simply opening or exporting an Excel file. It is designed for server-side .NET applications that need to recalculate workbook logic instead of trusting cached XLSX values. FormulaEngineer is pure managed .NET, works without Excel installed, avoids COM automation, and is focused on Excel-compatible formula behavior for APIs, reporting systems, background jobs, validation workflows, and financial/statistical workbook calculations.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

FormulaEngineer is built for .NET developers, backend engineers, SaaS teams, financial software builders, reporting-system developers, and teams that process uploaded or generated Excel workbooks on servers. It is especially useful for ASP.NET Core APIs, Blazor applications, MVC applications, background jobs, validation workflows, financial models, and automated XLSX reporting systems where Excel cannot be installed or automated safely.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

FormulaEngineer does not currently publish a public customer list. It is available to developers and teams through NuGet and direct licensing, and is intended for use in production .NET applications, SaaS products, reporting systems, spreadsheet validation workflows, and server-side Excel processing systems.

What's the story behind your product?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

FormulaEngineer was created to solve a practical gap in .NET Excel processing: reading a cached value from an XLSX file is not the same as recalculating the formula. Cached values can be missing, stale, or wrong after workbook inputs change in code. FormulaEngineer was built as a from-scratch formula engine so .NET applications can read, write, and recalculate Excel workbook logic without depending on Microsoft Excel, COM automation, or old saved formula results.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

FormulaEngineer's answer:

  • C#
  • .NET 6+
  • NuGet packaging
  • ASP.NET Core / Blazor / MVC usage scenarios
  • Cross-platform pure managed .NET
