Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing InTheMixer.co.uk and Codegres.org.

What makes your product unique?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

It's the only free, browser-based tactics board that animates the movement. You draw the runs, passes and set pieces, then press play to watch them move, and share the result as an animated clip. It also builds a tactic for you from a plain-English description, and it's a shared club workspace rather than a single-user app. Most tactics boards are static, native, single-user tools; In The Mixer combines animation, AI and team sharing in the browser with nothing to install.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

It's free to start and runs in any browser. No download, on the same phone you've got on the touchline. You get animated playback and clip export instead of a static diagram, an AI mode that builds tactics from a description, and a shared workspace so your whole coaching team sees the same boards. It's built for grassroots simplicity, not analyst-level cost or complexity.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

Grassroots and youth football (soccer) coaches — the volunteer and part-time coaches running 6, 7, 9 and 11-a-side teams who want to plan set pieces, runs and drills and share them clearly with players and parents, without expensive or complicated software.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

A web app built with React, TypeScript and Vite, using an HTML5 canvas (Konva) for the interactive board and Tailwind CSS for the UI. The backend runs on Supabase (Postgres + auth), it's deployed on Vercel, and the AI tactic generation is powered by Anthropic's Claude models. Image, PDF and video exports are generated client-side.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

  • Grassroots & youth football clubs
  • Volunteer and part-time coaches
  • 6, 7, 9 & 11-a-side teams

What's the story behind your product?

InTheMixer.co.uk's answer

It started out of the weekly frustration of redrawing the same set pieces on a physical whiteboard-and-magnets before every match. We wanted to plan a routine once, press play to show the movement, and send it straight to the team chat. What began as a tool for one grassroots club grew into a free product for any coach who'd rather spend their time coaching than redrawing diagrams.
