Every call produces an audit-ready transcript with timestamp, language pair, duration, and consent capture. SOC 2 Type II compliant, TLS 1.3 and AES-256, U.S. data residency, no training on customer audio.

Interpreterly is designed for routine, day-to-day and front-desk conversations. For scenarios where a certified or qualified human interpreter is legally required (court, complex medical consent, ASL), a credentialed human interpreter should still be used.

What makes your product unique?

Interpreterly's answer

Traditional interpreter companies add a third person to the phone call. AI companies replace the employee entirely. We do neither. The employee stays on the call and we carry the language.

Three things follow from that design:

First, it's compliant by shape. The 2024 Section 1557 rule requires qualified human review for machine translation of critical communications. Our model keeps a qualified employee in every conversation, so there's no translation standing alone.

Second, it's faster to deploy. No SIP trunk reconfiguration, no app for the other party, live in minutes. You conference it into any call—cell, landline, VoIP, speakerphone.

Third, the math works. Flat monthly pricing with no per-minute meter. LanguageLine charges $3.95/min and most providers hit a 2–5 minute minimum on every call. We charge monthly. A clinic making 200 short calls a day pays the LanguageLine minimum 200 times. We don't.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

On price: LanguageLine and CyraCom bill per minute. You pay the minimum on every call, even 30-second questions. Interpreterly is flat monthly. That's the opening.

On compliance: Competitors market "HIPAA-compliant" and leave it there. We explain why our model works under Section 1557. The qualified human staying in the call isn't a feature it's the reason the machine translation rule lets you use AI at all. Competitors don't own that story.

On the calls that break: Read-back confirmation on emails, phone numbers, and ID numbers. ~99% accuracy. No competitor markets accuracy on names and numbers, and it's the thing that breaks interpreted calls in real life.

On setup time: Most competitors want a 4–6 week implementation. We're live in minutes.

The trade: we run three languages deeply tuned (Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Haitian Creole coming soon), not 240 shallow. For the calls your front desk actually makes, tuning beats breadth.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Three distinct buyers:

Healthcare (priority). Practice administrators, VPs of Patient Access, and compliance officers at clinics, behavioral health networks, dental groups, and ambulatory surgery centres. They're under Section 1557 pressure—July 2025 deadline hit for most practices—and they have no system. We help them handle Spanish calls on the routine stuff (appointment booking, billing questions, after-hours) while keeping qualified human interpreters for the conversations that legally require them.

Financial services. F&I directors at car dealerships and settlement operators at title companies. The problem is always the same: sale negotiated in Spanish, contract signed in English. California Civil Code 1632 requires a Spanish copy before signing. Most don't have one. They're one lawsuit away from caring.

Call centre operations. VPs of Customer Operations and workforce managers at big call centres and BPOs. They already pay for Spanish coverage offshore. We're the backup for when that site goes down, volume spikes, or attrition hits.

All three are smart, busy, sceptical of AI vendors, and compliance-sensitive. They don't buy hype. They buy solutions to operational problems.

The read-back confirmation is the differentiator. Names, numbers, and IDs are the thing that breaks interpreted calls. Nobody else markets accuracy on them.

What's the story behind your product?

Built by BrainCX, founded by Tariq Alinur in 2021. Tariq spent 30 years pioneering offshore customer experience at Apple, JPMorgan Chase, American Express, and Liberty Latin America. He built FirstRing, India's first publicly traded BPO, with the mission of answering every call on the first ring. Then he built JPMorgan's Philippines operation from zero to the country's largest private employer.

BrainCX core is an operator-led, fully managed enterprise voice AI platform ($15K–$175K ACV). Interpreterly is the self-serve SMB spin-off.

The moment: In 2024 a new rule made accepting Medicare Part B enough to trigger Section 1557 language access obligations. That pulled in almost every US doctor and hospital for the first time. July 2025 compliance deadline. Most practices have no system for it. That regulatory tailwind—and the operational pain it creates is why Interpreterly exists.
