I've been on-call for years. After every incident, there's this dreaded task that sits on the todo list โ€” "write postmortem." It would stay there for days, sometimes weeks.

Not because I didn't care about learning from incidents, but because the process was exhausting. Digging through Slack threads, reconstructing timelines, formatting everything into a coherent document โ€” it felt like reliving the incident all over again.
