Three things:

  • A real page for every branch. All 181,000+ Indian bank branches have their own page with the IFSC code, MICR code, address and contact details — not a search box that returns a row in a table.
  • Voice search. Speak a bank or branch name instead of typing an eleven-character code. IFSC codes are easy to mistype on a phone keyboard, and a wrong code makes a transfer fail rather than just delay.
  • 34 financial calculators alongside the directory. The same visit that confirms a branch code can also work out an EMI, an in-hand salary from CTC, or what a SIP is worth in ten years.

What's the story behind your product?

IFSCIndex began with a simple observation: an IFSC code is eleven characters, a wrong one makes a transfer fail outright, and looking one up usually meant wading through pages built for something else entirely.

So the goal was a directory that does one job properly — a dedicated, fast-loading page for every one of India's 181,000+ bank branches, searchable by bank, state, district, branch name, or just by speaking it aloud.

The calculators came next, for the same reason. People checking a branch code are usually in the middle of a financial decision — a salary offer, a loan, an investment — so the tools to work those out sit alongside the directory rather than somewhere else.
