StackSheriff's answer:
Most review sites publish opinions and call them tests. StackSheriff publishes its receipts instead.
StackSheriff's answer:
Because you can check our work in about thirty seconds, and because we cover the part of the buying decision the big directories skip.
If you want a fast, honest read on whether a tool is worth your money โ and the ability to verify every number in it โ that's the whole product.
StackSheriff's answer:
Tech-forward professionals and makers, roughly 25โ45, who buy or recommend their own tools and have been burned by a bad pick before. They're practitioners, not executives โ the person who will actually use the software, running a small team or a solo operation without a procurement department to hide behind.
Four groups, matching our four coverage pillars:
They're skeptical of marketing language, they read the pricing page before the homepage, and they'll click a source link to check whether you're bluffing. We write for that reader.
StackSheriff's answer:
StackSheriff started in 2026 out of a specific frustration: every search for "is this tool any good" returned the same three things โ vendor marketing, a directory listing ranked by ad spend, or an affiliate post that had clearly never opened the product.
The site launched covering the four categories its founder actually buys tools in: GTM software, 3D printing, automation platforms and AI tools.
If we couldn't claim to test tools, we had to earn authority some other way โ so we built things that produce real data: a monitoring fleet that probes 818 tools continuously and publishes the uptime history, a glossary that explains the jargon vendors use to avoid being compared, and free calculators that answer the question underneath the tool choice ("what will this actually cost me?").
Today it's 279 reviews and guides, 818 monitored status pages, 263 glossary terms and 37 free tools and resources โ all held to the same rule. Small, opinionated, and checkable.

StackSheriff's answer:
Straight answer: StackSheriff doesn't have customers. It's a free, ad- and affiliate-supported publication โ nobody pays us for access, and we don't sell software or services. Our readers are the audience, not the customer base.
The closest equivalent is our commercial partners: 22 vendor affiliate programs are live, and roughly 200 more are in place awaiting approval. To be explicit โ these companies are partners we may earn a commission from, not customers, and being on this list buys no influence over a review or a verdict.
