Audio Audit is an automated quality checker for podcasts and spoken-word audio. Upload an episode (or point it at your feed) and it produces a plain-English report on the things listeners actually notice: integrated loudness, true peak, background noise, silences, clipped audio, and broken metadata or cover art.

Since August 2026 it also fixes what it finds. Every report ends with an "Enhance this episode" panel where the fixes matching the problems found come pre-ticked: noise reduction, speech levelling (compression), loudness normalisation with presets for podcast platforms (โˆ’16 LUFS), YouTube and ACX audiobooks, and clean metadata tagging with embedded artwork. Everything runs as a single pass โ€” decoded once, processed at full resolution, encoded once โ€” and if metadata is all you select, the audio isn't re-encoded at all.

The processing is measured, not AI: the noise profile is built from your own recording's quietest moments, the compressor threshold from your measured speech level, and nothing is synthesised. Because the fixes and the checks share the same measurements, you can re-run the report on the enhanced file and verify the numbers agree.

It works alongside any editor or DAW rather than replacing it, and suits solo podcasters through to editors and networks managing multiple shows. Pricing is credit-based โ€” priced per audio-minute, estimate shown before you commit, failed jobs never charged โ€” with a free tier and one-off top-up bundles, so no subscription is required.
