Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Hypervector and Inflect.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Inflect's answer:

  • Framer
  • Figma
  • Salesforce

What makes your product unique?

Inflect's answer:

Inflect is a neutral digital infrastructure marketplace where buyers can compare and connect with providers across colocation, bare metal, GPU cloud, connectivity, and DIA services, all in one place.

Unlike traditional brokers or vendor-owned platforms, Inflect has no preferred providers. Buyers get transparent side-by-side comparisons and a clear path to a real quote without the friction of a sales call.

Key differentiators:

  • Neutral marketplace model. Inflect serves both buyers and sellers without favoring any provider, so evaluations are based on fit, not vendor relationships.
  • Multi-category coverage. One platform spans the full digital infrastructure stack, from colo and bare metal to GPU cloud and private networking.
  • Comparison-first experience. The platform is built around helping buyers evaluate options on specs, pricing, and location before they ever talk to a vendor.
  • AI-powered decisions with Winston. Inflect's AI agent goes beyond directory listings to help buyers navigate infrastructure decisions faster and with more confidence.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Inflect's answer:

Most infrastructure procurement still runs on cold calls, broker relationships, and PDFs. Inflect replaces that process with a platform built for how modern buyers actually want to work.

  • Neutrality you can trust. Inflect is not a reseller, VAR, or broker with a preferred vendor list. Every provider on the platform competes on merit, so buyers get recommendations based on fit, not margin.
  • One platform, full stack. Competitors tend to specialize in one category (colo-only directories, GPU cloud marketplaces, connectivity aggregators). Inflect covers colocation, bare metal, GPU cloud, DIA, and connectivity in a single workflow.
  • Compare before you commit. Most procurement tools generate a lead and hand you off. Inflect gives buyers real comparison data on specs, pricing, and availability so they can shortlist confidently before contacting anyone.
  • AI-assisted, not just AI-labeled. Winston, Inflect's AI agent, actively helps buyers work through infrastructure requirements and match to the right providers, rather than just surfacing a list of results.
  • Speed without the middleman. Buyers can move from requirements to qualified options without waiting on a broker, scheduling a discovery call, or sitting through a demo they did not ask for.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Inflect's answer:

Buyers (the core target)

Technical and procurement decision-makers at companies evaluating or expanding their digital infrastructure. This includes:

  • IT directors, infrastructure architects, and CTOs at mid-market and enterprise companies
  • DevOps and platform engineering teams sourcing bare metal or GPU cloud for compute-heavy workloads
  • Network engineers and telecom buyers evaluating DIA or connectivity options
  • Startups scaling infrastructure (especially AI/ML workloads requiring GPU cloud)

These buyers are typically doing real procurement, not casual research. They have a specific requirement, a timeline, and frustration with how slow and opaque the traditional process is.

Sellers (the supply side)

Colocation providers, bare metal hosts, GPU cloud vendors, connectivity providers, and DIA carriers who want to reach qualified buyers without relying entirely on direct sales.

What's the story behind your product?

Inflect's answer:

Inflect was founded in 2016 by Mike Nguyen, a serial entrepreneur who had already built Silent Partners before turning his attention to a gap hiding in plain sight: you could buy almost anything on the internet, but you could not buy the internet itself on the internet.

Finding and comparing digital infrastructure, colocation, bare metal, connectivity, DIA, was slow, opaque, and gated behind broker relationships and sales calls. Mike set out to change that by building a neutral marketplace where buyers could discover, compare, and connect with providers the same way modern buyers expect to shop for anything else.

The vision has always been bigger than a directory. Inflect is moving toward full transactability, a true marketplace where buyers can go from requirement to purchase without leaving the platform. Think of it as the Amazon of digital infrastructure.

The road has not always been smooth. Deals have fallen through, obstacles have come up, and the market has not always moved at the pace the team hoped. But Inflect has consistently come back stronger, growing its buyer and seller base, expanding its team, and building toward a platform that makes infrastructure procurement as straightforward as it should have always been.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Inflect's answer:

  • AT&T Business
  • Lumen
  • Zayo
  • Digital Realty
  • Equinix
  • Arelion

The best place to buy and sell digital infrastructure!

Inflect is truly such a game changer in the digital infrastructure industry. Before Inflect, you could buy almost anything on the internet... except the internet itself. Anyone looking to buy colocation, GPU, bare metal, or other services had to go through the inconvenience of reaching out to multiple vendors and/or having one too many sales calls, all just to eventually find out (in a lot of cases) that the quote just wasn't quite right. With Inflect, all of that is eliminated. Buyers can easily search for and compare providers, right on Inflect's website, and see quotes without having to reach out to someone directly and make a decision.
