Overall verdict

  • Mesh3d appears to be a niche 3D mesh/asset gallery or visualization tool, and without independent, verifiable reviews or detailed hands-on testing data, it cannot be confidently rated as broadly 'good' or 'bad.' It may serve well for specific 3D asset browsing needs, but users should verify current functionality, content licensing, and reliability before relying on it.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Httpster and mesh3d.

What makes your product unique?

mesh3d's answer:

Mesh3D focuses exclusively on interactive WebGL 3D web experiences, not general web design. Every site is hand-picked for technical craft and visual quality, and we surface the makers behind the work, not just the URLs. It's built for people who care about what's actually possible in the browser with Three.js, R3F, and WebGL, rather than yet another screenshot wall of static landing pages.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

mesh3d's answer:

Most design galleries treat 3D as a niche category buried under hundreds of static landing pages. Mesh3D inverts that - it's 3D-first, so you're not scrolling past unrelated work to find what you came for. We also tag each entry with the libraries used (Three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, etc.), making it easy to filter by tech stack and learn from sites built with the tools you already use.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

mesh3d's answer:

Designers, developers, and creative coders working with 3D on the web. This includes Three.js and React Three Fiber developers, WebGL hobbyists, agency creatives looking for inspiration, and product teams researching how 3D can enhance their own sites. Also: students learning the craft and looking for benchmarks of what's achievable.

What's the story behind your product?

mesh3d's answer:

I kept bookmarking impressive 3D websites I'd find on X and in Discord communities, but there was no good place to revisit them or share them with other developers. Existing galleries either didn't cover 3D properly or lumped it in with everything else. So I teamed up with a designer friend, Majo, to build the gallery I wanted to exist - 3D-first, opinionated, and built for the community making this work.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

mesh3d's answer:

Next.js (frontend) Supabase (Postgres database, auth) Cloudflare R2 (media storage) Resend (transactional email) Hetzner VPS with Coolify (self-hosted deployment)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

mesh3d's answer:

Mesh3D is a free, public gallery rather than a B2B product, so it doesn't have customers in the traditional sense. The audience includes individual designers, developers, and creative studios using the gallery for inspiration and submitting their own work.

  • Web Design Inspiration
There's not a lot of examples provided, but the ones there are interesting. Also, why the tracking with Yandex? They might be legit, but it's suspect. This reminds me of many other gallery sites, but one of the best right now is https://httpster.net/. Lots of inspiring, minimalist, but beautiful websites. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Httpster.net got a minor update (website design inspiration showcase)
Httpster.net has had a few little design updates recently. If you're a fan of onepagelove.com/ and siteinspire.com/ for web design inspiration, Httpster is worth a bookmark too. Source: over 3 years ago
  • in search of a website for inspiration
I know that is a very long shot but I loved going to that website that was presenting other websites. Those websites were very well designed and I am 100% sure I found it through some graphic design youtuber promoting it. It is similar to https://httpster.net/ and https://www.awwwards.com/ yet different. Does anyone know any webiste(s) that fits this description? Source: over 3 years ago
