• When do you guys book accommodation?

  I use both hotels.com and also booking.com mostly for booking accomodation but its also 100% worth using trivago site to search and see if anywhere else has the same hotel cheaper (This has saved me loads in the past) its not a great site I find for searching hotels in a region, Use hotels and booking for that then use trivago to price comparison it.   It's $60 a night during peak holiday for a reason. Good hotels in that area are 4 to 6 times that. Looking at the ratings on Expedia and hotels.com, yeah, it's a shit hole. Did you read the reviews before you booked? Source: 5 months ago

• Denied boarding on Lufthansa flight in Changi, airline refuses to refund

  So, something very strange happened to me for the first time. I was denied boarding on a Lufthansa flight. The staff at the airport kept changing their excuse, and every time they came up with something, I had to prove it was wrong. (for example they said the ticket which I got online (trip.com) was paid in cash, then they said I need a transit visa which I did not need...) in the end they said they can't let me...   Skyscanner at times lead to websites such as trip.com which provides a ticket confirmation after 48 hours. I read somewhere that these thrid-party websites do bulk booking with airlines in order to gain bigger commissions. I book onced with trip.com and got the ticket within 48 hours. • How can I recieve a client's credit card information securely and view it so I can book something on their behalf

  Alternatively if you are booking common routes, trip.com or Kiwi.com could hold the customers credit card details for you and middle man the transaction in a much safer way than holding the information yourself.   Lijiang: I had initially booked a fast train between Guilin and Lijiang, it would have taken 11 hours to get there. Then I found a flight on trip.com for the same price: cancelled the train, got refunded and booked the flight everything by trip.com without any problem.
