[Help please] Hotel charged us for more than $2000 for no show, what can be done?

I have been down this road, before. Let me tell you something: booking.com will not side with you no matter what. I spent four or five months in total trying to resolve a similar matter and they found anyway possible to side with the merchant/hotel. Conclusion, they made money off of me still even though I was in the right. They took none of my evidence into effect. Which substantiated myself properly. That the charge cancellation should have been removed. And, they side with the vendor (hotel) because they will continue to make money from the business engagement which they have. And your credit card comany will do nothing to help you, especially that you (I am assuming) are American, these foreigners want to f* us over anyway they can out of spite and jealousy.
